Curious about your answers.

Well, I think it is the disability and concept being sold to people that they can't contribute to making the world better. That the individual doesn't matter.(my opinion)
Victimization is never the answer

The last sixteen American presidents, starting with Woodrow Wilson (elected 1913) have all been Trinitarian Christians (Eisenhower was raised Jehovah's Witness but became Trinitarian during his presidency).

Yet among the first sixteen American presidents, I can find no more than six who could clearly be classified as Trinitarian Christians. The majority of the early presidents were Deists or Unitarians.

My question is this: what happened? How did the upper levels of government in the USA become exclusively Christian - and almost exclusively Protestant?

"and there is no compulsion in religion, the right path has verily become distinct from the wrong"-quran I am a hanif-muslim and I am american born and raised. We don't compel but simply give a word.It is up to you to accept it or not.You are given a choice. And this is not Iraq.We force nothing nor compel by compulsion.Don't judge every muslim by the characteristics to those of Iraq.

Give me song title and artist. It doesn't have to be a traditional carol. My personal favorite is "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses, partly because I met my wife on New Year's Eve.

After asking a few questions, it's quite obvious to me that no one on this website is going to change their minds. Athesists still think Christians are crazy, Christians still think Athesists are crazy. Atheists still deny the existence of divine force, while Christians still deny the possibility of humans being random chance. While i am Christian, i think these constant arguements that go no where should end.

I do, if I have time.
I don't go to church, but I know how hard it must be getting doors slammed in their faces all day. I wonder how many people actually give them any time.
I have crazy discussions and I ask all the hard questions. Some of these people are really well informed and they know their stuff. But I've notices that a lot of times, people seem to be following a script and the cnversation ends with"Come to Church on Sunday and we can answer all your questions"

So is that assuming that all Christians prayers are fully answered? If they are not, it must be God's will? So it is a win win situation, they just "know" their prayers are heard, but whether God fulfills them or not doesn't prove anything to them. Why can't Christians just admit that whether someone prays or not, believes or not, the SAME effect happens and the same unequal distribution of fortune or misfortune happens to EVERYONE. Where and when you live, how smart you are, how good looking you are, how much money you were born into , what kind of parents/family you have, how resourceful and wise and 'lucky' one is, how much charm and charisma one has, basically what kind of genetic tendencies one has has more an effect on their wish fulfillment, quality of life and good fortune than prayer does.
