I am actually sick of listening Falwell, Hagee who are so aggressively promoting the Israel war so the Jesus come back and save all of them.
There are two scholars I would like to see to get more air time Rabbi Michael Lerner and Rev. Kevin Bean but cable news network only bring those who sell best.

Both......
No, because as they spread hatred, it will eventually spread back onto themselves. This is something they will have to learn from. But I do think it is awful that evangelical leaders would spout hate and fear, serving it up as the truth. This confuses most, as they only know what the evangelical has presented about whatever topic, and people generally hate that which they do not understand. So maybe the evangelical spouting hatred is just skipping a step?
Yes, I am tired of it. But there is nothing that can be done. These people have to learn somehow, and if that learning comes from hating me because the pastor told you to, then well, you are certainly missing out....But it doesn't make me go away. If anything, it makes me stand out prouder, because I know there is nothing to fear or hate about me. The blind are leading the blind in this world. I have my eyes wide open.
Blessed Be.
P.S.
Pleasures conceived in the world of the senses have a beginning and an end and give birth to misery, Arjuna. The wise do not look for happiness in them. But those who overcome the impulses of lust and anger which arise in the body are made whole and live in joy. They find their joy, their rest, and their light completely within themselves. United with the Lord, they attain nirvana in Brahman.

I hear very little "hate and fear-mongering" of evangelical leaders. Oh, yes, I hear some. Every once in a while a sound byte will slip out of something--usually against homoexuals--that I just wonder why anyone will say something that stupid and then hear that it was from one of the "spiritual leaders" ... and I think "Dag-nabbit, he just wasted two years of work that we've been doing in the community."
But it doesn't happen that often. What happens is the same quote is played over-and-over again by the media, making the stupid idea worse. And of that, I am very tired of.

What exactly do you mean? I don't think that they have hate in them. They are people just like you and me. Maybe they may make a mistake but thats okay. If you think that they may be judgemental than maybe you are being judgemental of them think about your question. You just called think hate and fear-mongering evangelical leaders. They are doing God' work so you should not talk negatively about them. What exactly are you doing?

yeah. fer sure I'm sick of it but fear mongering holy men have been around since humanity became self aware enough to acquire an ego that can believe in the immortality of the human soul. a paint smeared, feather bedecked shaman capering around shaking rattles at the evil spirits plays the same con as the evangelical hell spewers ... without their wisdom and intervention you would certainly fall prey to evil invisible entities. it's the oldest and still one of the most effective of con jobs.
willfully ignorant and superstitious people are the best marks a religious carny can ask for.

Mostly it just puzzles me. The Bible says that we are not to judge, and that we should love people even when they are doing wrong. Jesus showed us what to do by example and by parables, and he was a gentle man. The only time he ever got mad was when the tax payers were in the temple. Shouldn't we do the same - as the saying goes, "love the sinner, not the sin", and not pass judgement? After all, we're not the ones everyone will answer to. We should try set an example by being the best Christian we can be, showing everyone how happy and content that life will make you. Not by yelling and screaming our personal opinions at everyone, especially being judgemental while doing it.

Evangelical leaders are clear warning of how religion can make a person insane. Of course, maybe they were already nuts to start with and that's why they were attracted to religion.

If they're really teaching Christianity, hate shouldn't be anywhere in the equation.
I get tired of those who are hateful, though, because those are not acting in accordance to what God said in His Word.

Let's just put it this way, dog, I am a Liberal Christian and I NEVER shadow the doors of churches anymore because of the atrocity they've made of using the House of the Lord to promote their radical political platforms instead of the worship it's meant for. The church I once knew has gone to HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!
