Okay first one answerer said that "according to the holy book everyone will be judged by their own religion"
-- which stupid freaking holy book is that?
It's not the Bible, it's not the Torah... I don't think it's the Koran (I'm no expert, but that sure doesn't seem right). I doubt it's the Book of Mormon...
Back to the original question: God doesn't exist to make our life rich, we exist to make His life rich! God doesn't exist to serve us, but for us to serve Him! So, what makes you think that God is a bottomless ATM of wishes?

You sure have a lot of questions in that one, that is why it is a bit hard to know where to start. Anyway there is a verse that states something like "you have NOT because you ASK not" (you know, from the book Christians read)
So that is why Christians do not believe that the "same effect" happens to everyone. people just cannot get answers when they do not ask. (just like you will not get this answer when you have not asked it in the first place).
Ok, Christians also suffer misfortunes, yes all the time (and for a multitude of reasons) but that doesn't mean that God is not hearing their prayers. (well there are a lot of Christians that do not pray in the first place--& so we go back to the first point above).
And that part where Christian prayers are fully answered, i do not know where that came from... but you are right, everything that happens in this world is God's will (because we are assuming that God created everything). But if you are "experiencing" God and not just "knowing" Him (or just heard about Him)... that is when you will know that God hears your prayers and it is also where you receive things that are supernatural (most people call them miracles, well some people also call them luck).
But that is the point really, if you "know" God--you do not believe in luck, if you don't know Him or if you are skeptical, all you see is "the same effect happens". If you believe in a "different God" that is a totally different thing all together...
Have a good day.

It's not possible to answer your questions given the assumptions you've made.
Who ever said that God only hears prayers from Christians?
Who chose misfortune for man...men or God?
Where did you ever get the idea that God answers all prayers how the person praying wants them answered?
What is the meaning of "unequal?" Is equal the same thing as justice?
Why do you assume that everybody has the same worldly definition of fame, fortune, luck and misfortune? Although I will agree that most of those who have the common worldly definition of those things are generally the most unhappy ones.
I wonder why that is?

The Holy Books say everyone will be judged by God in their own religion, and if they do not have a religion then they will be judged by the laws / rules they were supposed to obey.
To Paul McDonald : I put "Holy Books" in a generic way as I did not want to refer to a certain religion - I meant the ancient writings of the enlightened people on earth. I am Christian Orthodox.
God is only one and He reins above all, religious or not.
PS: Liked that part with "bottomless ATM of wishes"...
Indeed everything is God's will, whether we perceive it as good or bad, which is actually in relation with the system of values the society has / we have . However, by praying we are begging God to change his will for us = give us what we think is right for us - and we could also be mistaken - that is why wise people say it is better not to ask but to thank for everything you already have / God has given you.

It's true everyone suffers misfortune.By being faithful it certainly doesn't promise an easier or more fortunate existance. At times it may be even harder because your faith may be tested.
Prayer offers though,a few more things than those that don't use it have.It offers comfort that you have been heard,it offers hope when you may have nothing but that. The thing that people often forget is that the faithful are only offered peace when they leave this place. Not why they're here.As for the quality of life I must say I'd think that having hope gives one more strength and happiness than not.

God does not answer ALL prayers, and some, He may not answer the way we want Him to. But He knows what is best for us more than we do. And being christian does not mean a life of luxury, we are human & are not perfect. We have the human body which will age, get sick & eventually die. We sin & pay the consequences of those sins. God gave us all free will & we make our own choices. Sometimes God allows us to go through trials in order that we may learn a lesson. Christians going through tough times,if they keep their faith in Him, will come through it a stronger person & will have drawn closer to God.
I lost an infant son when he was 3 months old, and he was a healthy baby boy. But it drew me closer to God & I felt blessed that God chose "MY" baby to come live with Him in heaven & sparing him the pain & suffering he would possibly face on earth. Then God blessed me with 3 more wonderful children.
God Bless You!

God always answers prayer, it may not always be what we want to hear. Sometimes, the answer is wait, or no. Sometimes, misfortune is a test of our faith. God wants us to rely on him through bad times and good times no matter what. I've gone through bad times, but at the end I was a better person for it. I have God to thank for helping me cope during my time of stress. Our faith in God helps us out...and its not being rich or poor, and having a disease that makes you lucky...those "misfortunes" are just life here on earth. How you live your life is a whole lot more important. Do you rely on God or do you sit around and complain about how horrible life is?

As Christians we aspire to perfection, our lives are not ready-made and perfect, what a stupid thing to suggest you silly person. Think. Then think of a diamond, its only truly valuable when cut and polished. So it is with us Christians, we suffer setbacks to chisel and polish us into shape. I've been through lots of setbacks in my life, but i've experienced as many miracles. I dont care what people say, or you for that matter (who are u anyway) but I feel the presence of God in my life, the blessings, however small, when I call on Him and exercise Faith. Perhaps you should try it sometime, insteada sitting around confusing yourself with trying to find proof, God will give proof where its due. Do you go up to George Bush and say, prove to me you're a man? you assume he is cause he sounds like one, he looks like one, and he even has a wife. Why attack Christianity? you must feel threatened or scared of us? poor thing...
Lastly, God promises (in the Holy Bible) that we as Christians will never be tested beyond our strength. I haven't. Can I get a witness??

Remember, satan can also grant people with temporary fortunes to, that's why it is written in the bible, that who ever is not of god is of the devil. So there you have it evidence that not all fortunes are the same, it just appears to look that way.
And also there is good and bad in everyone, people have a freewill to be who ever they wanna be to choose what path they wanna take, there is no such thing as luck or lucky, and am thinkin that you might have heard that sayin " show me your friends and I'll show you your future" the bible tells people to not to evenly yoke wit none believers, so we have no idea what those people did to be fortunate, could be drugs or they might be in some satanic lodge might have stolen some poor unsuspectin soul land from them. irie.

i think of maximum christians would qualify that with the aid of asserting that God has a objective for our life and how we take care of the guy suffering in our lives facilitates refine the persons we grow to be. Mankind brings approximately a lot of their very own suffering. Wickedness, evil, sin brings some lot of guy or woman suffering. THe activities interior the international like wars, terrorism and murdering and so on - is delivered approximately with the aid of the evil that adult males do. GOd does not make those issues take place. If He stepped in to offer up them then He would be implementing HIS will rather allowing loose WILL - and with the aid of so doing He would stop to be God so a techniques as i'm in contact. HE lives with the aid of eternal regulations additionally. those are an element of who he's as much as HIS regulations are an element of who guy is. i think God blesses us (each physique) as quickly as we do what He says (whether we don't comprehend we are following Him) and as quickly as we don't - we've no promise. i do no longer think God punishes is in this life a lot as HE can no longer Bless us at cases as a results of fact we supply up that pass as a results of our own unrighteousness. all of us have a divine objective - i do no longer think of it fairly is written in STONE someplace or that we are predestined for some particular element - we make our own direction in life and we the two make the main of the presents & wisdom we are blessed with to grow to be extra effective human beings and help & love those around us - or we fail to do this and the opposite usually happens. THAT objective is a few thing we've administration over with the aid of what we pick, which determines who and what we grow to be. i think of God needs us to make "lemonade" out of the lemons in life we journey...
