"and there is no compulsion in religion, the right path has verily become distinct from the wrong"-quran I am a hanif-muslim and I am american born and raised. We don't compel but simply give a word.It is up to you to accept it or not.You are given a choice. And this is not Iraq.We force nothing nor compel by compulsion.Don't judge every muslim by the characteristics to those of Iraq.

People have been worshipping men since time could record. This is not a new thing. From the pharoahs of Egypt to Krishna in India. These are all men.I do not worship Muhamaad(pbuh). And jesus was crated, just as was me, you, the stars, sun, moon, earth, other prophets, heavens and existance in a whole.

Hi I find your questions very interesting and thanks for 10 points from last day. It is silly to talk things like mine god is stronger and can kill yours in a second. I'm Serbian and most of the world think that Serbs very bad people and that they have killed a lot of Muslims, but no one asks if the Serbs were killed to. It is childish who starts the war. It is not true that wars between two different religions start within a day it is a thing of misunderstandings and sparks that last for many years and it isn't good question who had started the first. My house in Bosnia was bombed 10 years ago by Muslims and I don't blame tham because probably after that some Orthodox did the same to his house. So the fact is that you really don't have to judge someone by his nationality and religion but for the things that he has done. I really don't know whose religion is the right one, it is a matter of opinion. You like Allah and you think he is the best- that is o.k. for me. I'm an Orthodox and I think that it is a best religion and I would like that others respect that no matter they like it or not. Serbia was enslaved by Turks for 500 years and Serbs now like to go to the Turkish seaside without remembering of what Turks did to us. Maybe Shinto religion is the best? I don't know for Japanese people it is... So try to be o.k. with everybody who believes in something else although you don't like his believes. Most of religions teach that you should forgive so try to be a human and do it

I didn't know the Christians compelled anyone to worship anything. I think if you would be check things out before throwing out your accusations, the Christains do not compel anyone but if you choose to believe, fine, and if not, go in peace. You are given the option of either accepting or not and that is your business what you choose. Now if you want to get technical about it, I have seen nothing but violence and killing from the Muslims seeing how many they can kill along with themselves no matter how many innocent bystanders, including children are taken with them. Is this the non force and non compulsion you speak about with Muslims? I would rather be a Christian with the way I was brought up, not forcing anyone to do anything they choose not to, than to choose a religion that tells me to kill children and anyone else that is around me so I can be honored with a lot of virgins in Heaven. I don't think Heaven would be very desireable if I had to take out women and children and kill innocet bystanders to get it.

It is wonderful that you do not compel others to believe what you believe, and No, certanily not all Muslims are bad people. However, all you have to do is look at the Middle East and you can see that in most Muslim countries "belief" is not a freedom. It is mandated, and you can be killed for believing something different. I do not consider myself a Christian, but don't criticize Christians for "compelling others" to believe when Muslims do the very same thing -- often at gunpoint.
In fact, I am frankly sick & tired of everyone who thinks it is their right to compel others to believe as they do. You are "given a choice" only because you are here in America. In a country like Iran, Iraq, etc. you coul dbe shot for expressing such thoughts. Think that over.

As you have asked Christians not to judge all muslims by the very visible acts of a few, please do not judge all Christians by the acts of a few. I do not compel anyone to believe as I do, and I pray to God in the knowledge the He is know by many different names, but all can see and know His works. Mohammed was welcomed into churches when he spred the word as the prophet of Islamic faiths, just as many saints were welcomed in mosques as they travelled. Somewhere along the way, spreading the good news of God's love has been ditroted by some to mean compelling others to follow God in their way, not to accept Him is their lives in their own way.

I pray for peace, and always try to show the hospitality that true Islam preaches, as that is a shared value of both religions.

We worship Jesus because He ended sacrifice once and for all . John 14:6 . Islam is being led away by false doctrine and a lie . The Bible was written before the quran . The quran was made to lead everyone away from the truth . Question ; If your god is all knowing and all seeing why did he allow other doctrine to come before his ?

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Not all christians compel you to worship a "created lord".

Certain denominations of the church consider Jesus to be just a prophet and not Lord.

It says in Quran that on day of judgement, one tribe from each major religion (muslims, christians, Judaism) will be chosen to go to heaven.

There are muslims, christians, and Jews that will not go to heaven just because they are what they are due to names sake.

May I please quote from the Bible just some verses.
1st Timothy 2: 5,6 For there is one God and One mediator between God and men the man Christ Jesus. Who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due season.
Also, may I share verses in John chapter 4 from verse 1 through 26.
I quote please if I may just some v 23 and 24.
the hour cometh and now is when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth for the father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Just some verses that came to mind when i read your question.May you know the blessing of God upon your life.

Don't worry, I don't single out muslims. I tend to focus bigger and include religion as a whole. What kind of god would need to be worshipped? It's a conflicting concept. If you are a god, then who cares if people worship you or not.

Why can't people realize that they are all worshiping the same God.

I have to add, even if you don't believe in 'God' you still believe that something created this life, this world. It's all the same thing, just different names. God, Buddha, Jah, The Big Bang, et all. Just enjoy your fellow man, there shouldn't be a fight and no one wins if we are all fighting all the time.
