I feel so ugly. I know I have it better off than many people, and many would be mad at me for feeling this way, but I feel fat. I'm not fat, maybe a tiny bit chubby. I just feel huge. I was always tall for my age. I evened out and now I'm 5'7 but I've always felt like a giant since I grew so fast as a child.

Ever since puberty I've felt ugly. I know it seems it must stem from a problem inside but I don't think it does, because I feel this way even when I'm really happy and doing well emotionally. I've also had bad acne off and on, which hasn't helped.

My husband tells me I'm beautiful but I feel like I'm not pretty enough for him, that he'd be better off with someone less clumsy, and who was shorter than him. I'm the same height as him but sometimes I look taller.

What can I do to feel pretty like I did as a little girl?

I have a problem, I admit it. I am approval-addicted and want other people to like me. So whenever anyone talks about anything, I bring up something in my past life that is also related to that-- it makes me feel included and it makes me more interesting to the person talking.

My boyfriend has a problem with this. Especially as it pertains to sports. He's a sports fanatic and follows football and basketball... knows everything there is to know about them. I don't know very much; I have no real loyalty for one team, but I like to cheer on my favorite players. When we went to a basketball game today, I was joined in a lively conversation with my other friends using what little sports terminology I possessed, and talking about basketball. True, it's something I wouldn't ordinarily talk about, but my boyfriend sees this as being "poser-ish", since he knows I don't follow sports but I'm trying to sound sports-savvy and like I know something about it or really like it.

my relationship with my boyfriend is good right now. he is very sweet and considerate now, but back then, he wasn't. we have a long history (1-2 yrs) of being up & down. one day he changed and later wanted to marry me but I dumped him for half a year because I wasn't ready. afterwards, we tried to make it work but he broke it off. he then moved on with another girl but he kept seeing me, and she wouldn't put out so he lied to me by telling me he was going to dump her, to get sex from me. I regret what I did till this day. Anyway he was a jerk to her and she dumped him (after a month). but he still didn't want a relationship with me and started dating someone else. That girl was too aloof though so he later decided that he wanted a relationship with ME. Now he is so sweet and just... perfect. The thing is, our past isn't anywhere NEAR perfect. I enjoy my time with him SO MUCH, but sometimes when I'm alone, the past haunts me so bad that I start crying out of nowhere.
WHAT SHOULD i DO??

I was totally convinced that this guy Tyler was my soul mate, the future father of my children, the man I would die with. I was never happier..but now we are broken up and I am very disapointed because I always thought I would only feel that way with my true soul mate. I feel that if/when I do find him..it will be a diluted feeling in some way and now I can never know if it is a true emotion indicating he is the one or if it just a feeling I can encounter in several relationships.

So have you ever been wrong about those feelings? Did you feel the same disapointment I do when it failed..or do I just need to go to bed lol.

I know I'm an OCD Hoarder. Started by protecting myself from sexual abuse at 12 yrs old by not allowing anyone to come into my room unless I heard them. This abuse started soon after I was moved in with family and was forced to leave behind everything I had owned in my childhood. I have other OCD problems but this is the one that causes me pain. I am under so much criticisim because I am incapable of organizing my house. When I work on it, I'm okay for a couple of hours but become severly depressed and stop and hide in my house. I've no support system. No family except for the person responsible for my abuse in my youth. That person is on my case about being lazy and messy. They don't understand OCD because they don't see their own OCD which is the exact opposite of my clutter. I need help with my depression that results from my OCD. Vicious cycle that perpetuates the problem. I am not available for a 'walk'in' therapy session due to the nature of my employment. Suggestions??

Okay, here's my prob:
-I am a friendly person in my class, so if I like something, my classmates will like it for like a week. i.e: I loved Defying Gravity from wicked, and by the end of the week, everyone was "in love" with the play...
But, I have a problem with being upfront. I dont want to be mean, but I feel like I'm easily trampled by some people, or like I'm too submissive at times, afraid of annoying or making people uncomfortable. It's ironic cause I'm from the loudest city in the U.S. but I have a problem with being opinionated, and I go to high school next year, and I definetely want a strong character...any suggestions on not being afraid to speak my mind??
-no silly suggestions please-

So when I was younger- 13, I had some issues (what teen doesn't) and was diagnosed with depression, seasonal depression, anxiety disorder, and borderline personality traits throughout the years i was seeing a few diff doctors. After about 5 really rough years I stopped seeing the counselors because I moved so it was pretty abrubt. I'm now 22, and wondering do these things just 'go away' , are they waiting for the right moment to pop up again, or is it something that just stays with you??

All my life I have feared the man. But more recently i'm just more intimidated by his presense and the fear of him judging me. I'm more physically prowl now. But he still has his psychological effect on me. I get submission, and as a result. I'm shy and lack self-esteem.

http://phobialist.com/

If you have any phobias, list them please.

These are mine:
Arachnephobia or Arachnophobia- Fear of spiders.
Atychiphobia- Fear of failure.
Claustrophobia- Fear of confined spaces.
Enochlophobia- Fear of crowds. (really it's just large crowds for me)

I'm just curious as to what kind of phobias people really have, I hope it's not too personal for some people.

I find myself lying all the time, even when I don't have to. I make up stories about things I've done that day or in life at a drop of a hat. I can't stop. I even lie about what I did that day even when its not really important. I lie about facts I know and just a bunch of stuff. Am I a compulsive liar and what can I do to stop?

So I go to a private school in California. There are quite a few special ed. and students with learning disabilities there. We have a new kid in my class that I don't know what he has but when he gets frustrated he gets VERY violent with teachers and he throws and breaks things. He is a very big and tall and taller than the teacher and most of the staff so when he has an episode it's pretty hard to stop him. He recently had a really big episode and flipped over a desk and threw chairs and punched the director of the school. He was gone for about ten days and then the director had said he will be returning with new medication to handle his anger and frustration. He has been back for about three days now and I am very nervous. He has been on the breaking point of another episode even with the medication. I am very nervous around him. How can I confront this issue with the director who has ignored the posibilities several times? I am gonna look for a new school. What should I do for now?

My story is set in the early victorian era. I've already started the book, but I'm not confident about the plot
There are two sisters, let's say their names are Anne and Mary. They've always gotten along, but because Anne is older and always wanted to be superior to her sister, when Mary becomes engaged to George, Anne steals that guy away. But, an incident occurs where Anne causes an accident and Mary becomes blind from it. Anne feels guilty, gives up her life to serve Mary, not out of love but GUILT. Anne immediately loses interest in George. Meets another guy named...Edward, but Mary falls earnestly in love with this guy as well, as does Anne. But due to guilt, Anne backs off from this guy. Out of jealousy and guilt, the love Anne once had for Mary turns to hatred.
