I was totally convinced that this guy Tyler was my soul mate, the future father of my children, the man I would die with. I was never happier..but now we are broken up and I am very disapointed because I always thought I would only feel that way with my true soul mate. I feel that if/when I do find him..it will be a diluted feeling in some way and now I can never know if it is a true emotion indicating he is the one or if it just a feeling I can encounter in several relationships.

So have you ever been wrong about those feelings? Did you feel the same disapointment I do when it failed..or do I just need to go to bed lol.

Yes... and I still miss him. I know exactly how you feel. I have been in few relationships before, and finally this last one I discovered what real love felt like.

Unfortunately, he just didn't think I was "the one", that is an even worse feeling. He didn't treat me or loved me the same way I did, didn't even miss me when we were separated for a month, and when he required me to move 2000 miles to a place that I absolutely hate, I realized that true love has to be "two-way". Instead of being miserable and resent him for the rest of our lives, I decided to split up. My feelings would've made him miserable as well, and that is just not fair to either one of us... I think is unfair to live together for a lifetime when one of you doesn't feel love at the same level as the other, and you just can't force anyone to love you.

I just hope that I can feel the same way again! It was beautiful while it lasted.... I wish you good luck in finding that special one, sister!!

Women have to learn is attraction isn't a choice. Ladies are feeling machines with the ability to over look other signs that will lead them to a proper conclusion about a male suitor.

I have loved women deeply but realized other aspects of this person will not lead to a long term union. I hate to bust the follow you heart bubble but love is not the only determining factor is choosing a mate. I would choose a person I could trust completely over a woman I felt a more passionate love.

Using a gut feeling over a emotion felt sensation would be more telling. Yes there is a difference and you have to learn the tell the difference in you. Many people confuse feelings of infatuation with their hearts. I get the impression this was your case. Time will bring you back to reality. This is why you don't rush into anything to serious in the beginning stages of a relationship. Maturity will handle this issue which is what is happening to you now. You are starting to question your feelings and what they mean.

you must be some what young, your lucky. life is full of ups and downs like this, just stay true to your feeling and try not to let the break ups be your fault if you truly love the person.some time even if you both feel the same way about each other people still make mistakes that will lead you to believe that you made the mistake by picking them as a partner, like me i was with a lady for three years and then got married had a baby things were going great , then she made a mistake i could not forgive and just like that a perfect relationship down the crapper.

yes my hubby and I were together for 5 yrs had 1 son one and another on the way. we decided to split. i wasn't happy-- he was tired of trying to make me happy and vise versa; **** happens!!! sure I wasextremely disappointed not only w/ him but myself as well. I too felt that if i ever find another man I would never love him like I loved Nick. well i found a new man and I love him no lover is ever the same. I love this man for everything he's not and is. It took me a long time to stop comparing him to my ex and once i stopped I found out that I could love him with the same intesity as my kids dad and even more cause now I know how to love a little bit better. you live and u learn.

I've never felt 100% convinced I found The One but have been in love and have found guys that I thought had many of the qualities I desired. But wasn't absolutely sure, or had my mind set that they were the one for me.

i've envisioned my boyfriend as "the one" a few times. which is a long way for me because marriage creeps me out. he always mentioned marriage though and always has. we've broken up a few time along the way, but always got back together somehow. no one knows our future, but i do know that i don't think i will ever get over him no matter who i marry

Yes. More than once. Probably the best advise I can give you it to enjoy being young. There is plenty of time for serious relationships. Take your time and have fun.

I definitely have felt your disappointment--with my first love, which lasted for seven years. Basically, he ruined my life--even though I had a wonderful, understanding husband after my relationship with him.

You need to find Tyler sneak up behind him and lay him out with a open fist back hand.
