I find myself lying all the time, even when I don't have to. I make up stories about things I've done that day or in life at a drop of a hat. I can't stop. I even lie about what I did that day even when its not really important. I lie about facts I know and just a bunch of stuff. Am I a compulsive liar and what can I do to stop?

I am honestly concerned and I am really telling the truth this time, seriously.

I have an uncle who lies compulsively and it gets really annoying. He tells all kinds of stories that are very odd heck now I do not know if what he is saying is true or not. I believe he lies more than says the truth.

To stop lying just think of what you really know and talk about it even if it sounds boring. I find ppl who lie sometimes believe that their life is boring and that they have nothing good to say.

Its ok to lie time to time its normal and everyone does it but if everyone labels you as a liar then u have problems may u are right compulsive liar, if ur in school seek a councilor or any councilor maybe there is a whole thing (insecurity, attention seeking) behind it ,they (councilors) are the ones to help you or they will contact people who specialize in helping compulsive liars.

Lying is a good thing. People should learn to never trust anyone. If you want to stop try to think the question thoroughly before you answer it don't just blurt it out.
