My now ex bf broke up with me last year. The thing was when we were together, he showed so much love and admiration. But something happened and another girl who has his child came into the picture. She was a one night stand before we met, I know for sure she had admitted it herself. Anyhow, he was ashamed and I helped him some to terms with having a child. But as he went to spend time w/ his child he developed feelings for the mother and left me to be with her. I was devestated. But whats worst was he lied to me about it and when I found out the truth, he was so cold and hurtful to me. Anyhow, he is no longer with her, I suppose he found out her true colors and what she was all about. But he never really apologized to me, and the more I tried to talk to him, he treated me like he never knew me and he still does. We were together for 2 yrs. He broke up with me last summer. He has told me he does not want me in his life anymore, because I said hurtful things to him. But he did some

My brother said he learned in psych. that a person who is generally happy will always be happy and vice versa. Even after a lifechanging event such as the death of a child/spouse, or a marriage, they will always return to their previous state of happiness. He also says that if you interview a person when they are 20 and then 60 their views on happiness will be the same? I am asking because I recently experienced a loss. Will I ever be the same?

We all have different parts of our personality inside ourself. For example:

At work: productive, more serious
With friends: funny, more outgoing, showing fun side of personality
Meeting acquaintances: on best behaviour, a little more reserved than usual

everything happens for a reason right?? sometimes we make certain decisions based on instinct and unexplainable reasoning. we may not know why we make certain decisions but there is always a certain outcome. ppl die all the time, only to effect other ppl's lives, to bring them grief, which may need a great time of healing, which can help them to grow and become stronger... what if god puts people in situations which are meant to push them over the edge and commit such a sin?? i dunno.. its just a question that came to mind.. id be more than happy for any insites...thanks!

I dont know why but ive been procrastinating all night (and about an hour of the morning so far) I have a 2 part test tomorrow that could pass or fail me for the nine weeks in english, ive only studied about 5 questions, but it seems that i can never concentrate on what im supposed to be doing.....what are your thoughts and how can i prevent it?

i have PTSD and have sense i was very young at 4 I saw a lady kill her husband and now i keep having dreams of it there getting really bad and i only sleep 2-3 hours a night i work full time and have 4 kids i cant take this any more is there a way to get past this or over it

the memories are getting clearer and i remember allot more and i dont want to how do i get over what i saw as a child ??

hello everyone! im in a bit of confusion right now at my job, there' a fellow co-worker(supervisor) that tends to critique me about something. today, for example, i recently had my hair styled and many gave me compliments, when she saw my hair she had to negatively comment about it has happened before. she asks me personal questions like i do i have a boyfriend and i give her short ended answers. she also questions why i stay to myself. what's her problem?

I had a dream that i was with a friend at the airport and she was gonna buy food with five dollars, then i was in the plane with some family, but i was so afraid, because it didnt seem like a normal ride. the plane could only go up to 5000 ft and it was a lot of swerving and going up and down. then i was at home and i sawa huge black spider so i decided to kill it, then a crab also appeared i threw shoes at them but missed. i foolowed them outside and killed the crab by stabbing it through the center (it was upside down) an the spider disappeared, then i woke up

once upon a time...
there was a little girl who witnessed her brother attempt suicide many

times. she got beat with a belt daily and picked up by her hair for

eating too many chips. she got locked out of her house when she was 8

because she wanted to pick out her own outfit. she was told storys of

her father having sex with other women. she was sexually abused by her

boarderline retarded brother. she was made to sit in the time out chair

for hours at a time. her mother tried an exorcism on her and always

scared her with talks of demons. so her father eventually took control

and took her away from the abuse. her father was an alcoholic. she was

always left alone while her father and "step mom" went out to party.

she had been brought up very religiously and always tried to tell her

father what he was doing was wrong. this caused much emotional stress

on her and the ulcers continued along with breaking out in terrible

welps. constantly left alone with no one to talk to she would of rather

been abused. her step mother hated her and made the little girl afraid

to even leave her room. constant tension everyday made her feel as

though she was in a house of strangers. one night the step mother tried

choking her and her father saw the whole thing and denied what the step

mom had done. she also took pictures of the little girls room when it

was messy so she could prove to people how worthless the little girl

was. she recorded her phone conversations and was always scheming

against the little girl. there was never a place to hide and relax for

the little girl everyday was a battle to just survive through the day.

this made her feel very insecure. she had lost all hope and was very

depressed. eventually the step mother and her father divorced. the

father soon realized his "ex wife" had been planning to take his money

all along. she stole around 160,000 dollars.
things finally were starting to get better for the little girl who was

now no longer little.
most people dont know anything about this, she hides it. no one knows

the story behind everything. she appears to be normal and hapy but she

will always carry the scars with her

I'm 17, and i'm afraid of growing up and having responsibilities. I like not having responsibilities. But i know sooner or later i will need to get a job/graduate/pay bills etc...and deal with everyday life, and i'm terrified. I think this stems from my depression, which i'm fighting with at the moment.....Everyone says i should be excited because i have freedom etc....but i'm still not looking forward to it. How did you deal with growing up?

I know women attest to having some bisexual tendencies in life, but what about men? In experiments, they have shown that men either go one way or another, but I don't really believe that. But I don't really know if true bisexuality actually exists for men. For me, I guess you could consider me bisexual. I had purely heterosexual tendencies from when I was little up until I was about 16 or 17 when I went through some major changes and began liking guys. Nowadays, I either only find guys attractive or girls attractive, never at the same time, and I switch back and forth often. Often I find more girls attractive, but I find guys more attractive. If sexuality was based on nature, I could be straight going through a phase. If it was nurture, I could be gay. Or bisexuality could be described as switching back and forth. Or just confusion. But if bisexuality truly doesn't exist, I really don't know which side to choose. Seriously

it's kind of groundhog day type dream except that it is very short and
it does repeat (and repeat)
the most clear version is where I am sleeping under a ceiling fan and
like a strobe of a strobiscope I see / feel/ dream the fan move about
a part of a revolution
undeniably this may be some non sleep / semi awake phenomenon

I have had other dreams that had this "skip in the record" repetivness
(an outstreached hand from another, willing to shake hands, saying hello)
over and over
rather boring I might say

ever have anything like this?
ever hear of anyone else reporting this?

do you have name for it?

(repetitive parts of dreams too short to have a narrative)

mom passed away 3 years ago and my moms stuff is in my basment we try to go thru when she comes over but i just cant do it very long i get burnt out emotionly? why whats the diff? the only two i know is that she is 18 and im 25 and im a christian and shes not she dosnt want anything to do with god?
