You are not alone. Every single person on this planet has felt and stills feels like this from time to time. Human nature is prone to depression.
We live in a fallen, broken world and we are fallen, broken beings. We are bombarded by a lot of information and society, impatient as she is, demands a lot from us. Pressure mounts up everyday and our souls, spirits and bodies are not always able to cope or to meet these demands.
Then we do question the meaning of life. I am a devout follower of God in Christ and even I feel like this many a times.

BUT: there is light at the end of the tunnel: There is Someone you can connect to that will turn you into a person with a purpose. For you are a most valuable part of society and without you the wheel will function improperly. You were placed on this earth for a specific purpose and there are a specified group of people whose lives you are meant to touch and change.
If you connect ot the One who made you and allow Him to bring you into His purposes [through Jesus His Son] you fill find that He allows you to soar above the darkness that wants to destroy and consume you. Christ will shed His light into your darkness and oh, I love this: when the light shines into my darkness, the darkness cannot overcome it!!!!
I have found that each and every time He comes and picks me up and places me on higher ground, giving me His perspective on things. Though I do not understand all things, I find then that enourmous peace, which surpasses all things, floods my mind and my being and fills me with HOPE eternal.

So, friend, lift up your head, for you are pretty special in His sight. Speak to Him and expect Him to answer, for he will.

May His joy flood your being today and I pray that you may be exceptionally aware of His divine presence.

Buddy honestly, i know what you mean, BUT my life is much different now, i mean look at me i'm answering questions on internet ahaha nah just kidding. Seriously, life is really good when you get to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, i don't care what anyone says, i know very well what is good in my life, and God, the Bible, and Church (Christian) is our answer. Open yourself to God, pray and listen, ask for forgivness... It's a everlasting brightful experience. So here's your chance to be happy, happier then you could ever be, it is a warning to you at this very moment, and i hope you make the right decision and open your bible, pray, pray, pray, go to church, and LOOK for God, if you listen carefully He will talk to you in many ways. i completely understand
hopelessness can really bring you down. you kinda feel like a product of society, you do what they expect you to do.
the only thing that helped me was finding someone who truly cared about me. who wouldnt judge me and who brought out my true self. you just need to stop worrying, let go, and stop doing what everyone expects you to do. do what makes you happy, of course dont be self destructive.

In the words of Peter Wentz, "A lot of times horrible things will happen for no reason, and people will tell you everything will be okay, well thats a load of bullshit not everything works out, YOU JUST NEED TO REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE WORTH A DAMN!"
