Around my house whenever my parents or my brother or I fight about anything, it always blows up into a huge fight because everyone has such a high stress level. It's pretty tense, and most of the time we are all walking on eggshells. The thing that worries me is I have a very thin skin and I cry often (on average about once a night). When I was little and I cried my parents would comfort me and bring me something to drink and things like that. They don't do that anymore, and are usually very short with me when I cry ("What the hell are you crying about, you have no reason to be crying, stop being so dramatic," etc) and lately I've been craving that sort of attention again to a frightening degree. I sometimes pretend that I'm little and they're taking care of me and this only makes me feel neglected. I've looked up some information on psychological regression, but most of it is only about hypnosis and the like. Could someone help me or please give me tips to stop this sort of behaviour?

I'm a senior on the verge of failing unless I buckle down and get on my work. My motivation is gone and I feel graduating has become this intangible or unachievable goal. How do I break down my barrier and just...get it done?

She's an overdramatic person who's doing it to herself on PURPOSE. It's not like she can't stop. She could if she wanted to. But she's always wanted the attention. She's spoiled and childish too. What should I do? Ignore her? I don't know.

Ive been having this recurring dream/nightmare for almost ten years now, Im now 23. I walk into a enclosed space, there I place three gemstones into three seperate holders/containers. I place myself in the center of the three gems, all of a sudden a bright white light envelopes my entire body. And I begin to pan out first the area I was in is enveloped in this light, then the outlying country it was in, then the planet is clearly visible then the solar system, the galaxy we reside in, then the universe itself. I am looking straight at the universe. All of a sudden everything that was enveloped in light begins to make a low screaming noise as if in excrutiating pain, it becomes louder and louder.
Then everything goes dark, no sound can be heard, no light can be seen, nothing can be felt. Absolutely nothing, just darkness.
At this point in time I have either woken up really afraid, or at other times feel like I made a correct decision with no regrets.

Do you like telling anybody about your personal life , like where you were born and your childhood, etc?

And what about telling people about your personal wishes for yourself and such?

Do you feel after you tell somebody that you feel like you been "head raped"?

Why?

I was raised to be tough! Don't let them know they've got you beaten down. I loved that song I think Carley Simon sang it. "Don't cry out loud! Just learn how to hide your feelings, Don't cry out loud just keep it inside and learn how to hide your feelings.I have lived my life like this. Has anyone else been taught to be tough and not to let it show? Just wondering.

How so?
Why does the face and eyes reveal so much about not only a person's intellect, but attitude as well as just overall character?
I also think that a person can look totally different sometimes depending on their level of character (kind, good, honest vs. selfish arrogant, and decietful) which can many times be half and half.

Why is this??? How are you able to determine so much from a persons face?

Numerous people have "avatars" that are used to present themselves when they answer questions here. Are more people using them to depict their actual apperences, or do they use them to create an apearence that people only dream of having? Are people happy with the way they look, or do people have opinions about themselves, and their looks.

-I'd like as many people as possible to answer this question, I find it interesting to hear the opinions of others.

I'm almost 30 and I still have an anger management problem. It deeply disrupts my work, my relationship with co-workers, with my Husband, his in-laws, my friends, my family. It goes something like this, someone will say something or do something and I'll feel myself explode inside like a bomb. For me there is only a split second between complete calm and instant anger. My anger is literally ruining my life. I need to stop but I can't. I feel as if I'm on crack. As funny as this my seem to some people it's not. I'm getting desperate here. At age 28 the only thing I've learned to do so far about my anger is to hold it in only to have it explode a few days later. Another side affect of this is I stay angry for a very long time.
Anyone, just anyone who has some techniques for not feeling angry in the first place. Respond please.

My sis-n-law asks me or mom to baby sit until a given time. She will drop them off, and later, she will call back and say that she is going to be 2-3 hrs late. Sometimes she will even call back after that and say she will be even later! i feel obligated because she gives my daughter a ride to school about 1-2 times a month.
But when we babysit for we know that it is not going to be until 2pm. My mother and I always say, "What time do you think she is going to be home?"
Why do you think she does this?
