Ive been having this recurring dream/nightmare for almost ten years now, Im now 23. I walk into a enclosed space, there I place three gemstones into three seperate holders/containers. I place myself in the center of the three gems, all of a sudden a bright white light envelopes my entire body. And I begin to pan out first the area I was in is enveloped in this light, then the outlying country it was in, then the planet is clearly visible then the solar system, the galaxy we reside in, then the universe itself. I am looking straight at the universe. All of a sudden everything that was enveloped in light begins to make a low screaming noise as if in excrutiating pain, it becomes louder and louder.
Then everything goes dark, no sound can be heard, no light can be seen, nothing can be felt. Absolutely nothing, just darkness.
At this point in time I have either woken up really afraid, or at other times feel like I made a correct decision with no regrets.

These dreams/nightmares have been recurring on me almost on a weekly basis, before in the beginning it used to be one month apart and I could nod it off, then after some years they starting happening more frequently and at more times ends up waking me up in cold sweat.

Now sometimes when Im not thinking about anything the image of me seeing the screams in white light starts to to pop up in my head more and more. Recently I just started crying out of nowhere while I was driving to work. If you think has something to do with current events, kiss my *** I could care less about whats happening to the rest of the world.

Ive been seeing this for ten years now and is beginning to feel like its really going to happen, like I kind of end all existence in the universe. Maybe a WMD doesnt have to be a machine, it could be an animate being.

Death is when everything you have ever known suddenly stops. You can't be a little dead. It's an all or nothing situation.
Sounds as if half the time you wake to chaos and the other half you wake to peace.
What if all existence suddenly stopped? You would be gone. So, it shouldn't matter to you in the slightest.

Learn to analyse your dreams, and keep a dream diary, asking yourself many questions about all aspects of it, as soon as you wake up. What colour were the gems; what did they represent? Then the containers. The light. Which planet. Why mention pain? See: http://www.dreammoods.com/dreamdictionary/ (.com/dreamdictionary/) Go to your library and read modern psychology books on dream analysis, based on rational scientific theory, like the work of Fritz Perls, or order online from Amazon books, or your local bookstore.

your dream is extraordinarily spiritual ...i occasionally have spiritual dreams too (for example i dreamt of very low-flying aeroplanes exploding into fireballs, two at one location and one at another a little distance away...i dreamt this before 911 and, a year or two later, as i was watching the planes crashing into the world trade centres on my TV, i realized that this was what i had observed in my dream...my dream at the time took me into some chaotic after events which are in process right now)
i'm a christian and i didn't feel troubled this or other spiritual dreams that i've had, however, yours is a tormenting dream and i believe that it has its source in evil
your only escape from this torment is to call upon God to give you peace and to perhaps reveal to you the meaning of this dream ...if you are desperate enough you'll try this

Adnmoh:

It will be all empty ... and then (after the blood flow back to your brain), things are gradually coming back again. Eventually, you will wake up from another REM sleep night.

In the morning, things will be just as great and fresh as ever.

Have a good day!

It sounds like your dream might be linked to a fealing of drowning in work, or stress. You need to take a break, just take a vacation and get your problums off your mind.

Who would know?

Seriously though, are you under a lot of stress? Is it about putting yourself and the ones who are causing it out of some type of misery?

it's impossible. don't worry.

plus, next time you have the dream PAY ATTENTION.

there's always a hidden meaning there. it doesn't go away until you find it.
