I'm a senior on the verge of failing unless I buckle down and get on my work. My motivation is gone and I feel graduating has become this intangible or unachievable goal. How do I break down my barrier and just...get it done?

It's called senioritis, and I had the same exact thing before I graduated. Here are a few good tips:

1) Get rid of destractions!
2) Get help from teachers between classes or after school if you don't understand
3) Start homework and studying early in the afternoon. If you wait, you'll miss your favorite TV shows or other fun night life thigs
4) Use class time wisely.
5) Work at the library. It limits other activites you could do.

Hope these help!

Music helps you learn while studying.

Sorry, not Rock....Classical. Invigorates the mind.

Andre Rieu's Live in Dublin is energetic - it'll get you livened up to get a job done. The Vienna I Love will mellow you to sit still and do it. I'm sure you'd rather not listen to classical music. I'm not a great lover of it myself, but someone gave me these CD's and I love them.

If nothing else, maybe it will motivate you to get it done so you can turn it off? :)
