Sloppily done hypnosis can distort the inner workings of the mind, meaning the core thought structures that keep you balanced, and thus, create distortion in the conscience mind. Also, sometimes the deeply hidden inner child reacts to it with fear and anger, and that can cause you troubles, especially if he/she decides to hypnotize you back, for self defense.
