I work within arms distance of this co-worker and her & her daughters b/f and their antics of fighting & the daughter getting arrested 4 shoplifting are driving me insane. We work in a fairly small town, and I really like the co-worker as a friend too, BUT this daughter age 22 is effecting her health and her work, we work in a fast paced enviroment & I am picking up the slack but feel I am being a bad friend too, because I am so tired of telling her what to do to correct her situation, she ASKS for advice but doesnt take it, its very frustrating so the combination of picking up her work slack as a co-worker & watching her daughter causing this mother a break down is just too much DRAMA. I don't want to hurt her feelings. What can I do ?

There is someone on this site who can't seem to let go of her hate for me. She turns her own traits around and says they're mine. She makes up lies about me and uses my name (I won't use hers). She tries to goad me into continuing this "fued" (her words). She holds on to it like it's her life and I think it is. Why does she do this? Do you think its' because I have exposed some of her lies in the past? I fear she is deeply disturbed and I'm glad we don't know each other in reality. I do not hate her and I wish she would move on with her life to healthier pursuits. This will be the last time I allude to her. Has anyone had similar experiences with people hanging on to hate?

For a teen, if they "love" [Not real love, but infatuation] someone, when will they get over it? Can it go one forever? Or is there normally some limit? If it goes on too long do the feelings eventually turn romantic?

I have been struggling with depression on and off for a long time.
I have had thoughts of suicide but never had any intention of following through on them. Lately I've been having those thoughts again, but along with new thoughts too, like cutting myself or going out and getting drunk (which I have never done. I don't drink at all).
I don't know where these new thoughts are coming from, and I want to know if they're caused by chemical imbalances because, even with my depression, these thoughts are completely new and something I've never thought of before.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has done this since she was mobile. At 7 months she'd hit herself on the head with toys.
At 1 year she would get on her hands & knees & pound her head on the floor or throw herself backwards when she got mad/frustrated. Even knocked herself unconsious once and stopped breathing. E.R nurse didn't believe she did to herself & called CPS.

At 2 she started to head-butt people, the floor, the wall, furniture, the TV (We got a locking TV cabinet after that).

She has done these things in front of the pediatrician and our family child psychologist. Both say is NOT abnormal and she will grow out of it but now is also shrieking, scratching etc.

Out home life is not abusive, she is very intelligent, can count to 5 and recognize her name when written.

My question is what could I be overlooking? Mental disability? Emotional/Psychiatric? Any suggestions/advice appreciated. She is really hard to handle.

Do you think about your impending death much? Do you dread growing older and closer towards the day you die?

Or do you not care and say f**k it. It happens when it happens. Just enjoy life while you can.

Myself, I'm always thinking of that day when I'll take that last breath and won't ever take one more and it scares the sh*t out of me!

Why do we need to know so bad?
What are your thoughts of "The Meaning of Life?"
Is there one, can we ever know?

I just find it odd, all these questions about it.
What is that thing inside us that's so desperate to know?
And if it's not inside you, then why?

I am 12 years old. Over the summer I was a health obsessed freak and any throat ace would suddenly become a life threatening thing. I would actually search the computer for my symptoms. I guess you could say I was a hyrochondriac. Anyways on day I took this Yahoo!Health depression test for fun. Two days later when my throat was acting up again I got this one thought saying, "this is too much". Ifreaked out and litterally could feel my mind transitioning from health freak to mental health freak. I thought that I was depressed. So everything that happened when I was pysical health crazy is happening now. Except now it feels like one part of my mind thinks I'm going to suicide, and I know that I'm not but it's driving me crazy. It's like part of my mind is so preoccupied with it. I can't seem to completely move on from it. Sometimes I can snap out, but then once I start thinking about it I snap back in. It's really driving me crazy how much part of my mind seems to hate me.

Sometimes i can't even look into the persons eyes... is it that people have made him feel this way, Molded his face into some spit cup. everytime he looks into the sky he sees coulds, black thick clouds, that never seems to thin out. Long days make him desperate to find the light, but its always dark where ever he walks. Smile is always on his face just to tell the few not to bother him, but deep inside he know he needs them to bother him. maybe one day he can actually smile like the rest of them and be like one of them but maybe God didnt make him to be like the rest of them. maybe he made him to be an atomic bomb ready to explode, maybe a sucrifice to the arrogant, or a symbol to make everyone feel they have it better

I'm trying to find some more information on how to deal with someone who is afraid of getting close to someone. Their mom died when they were young, so now they tend to like to have a lot of people around them, but not let them get too close. They got very close to me, sharing very intimate things, and now I believe is afraid that they got too close so they pulled away. Are there any informational sites that can help in knowing what to do in this situation?

if my mom asks me a question i might answer it with another question. i don't mean any harm i'm just trying to figure out why she does things becuz we don't get along on alot of things. she'll start getting mad, we'll start arguing, she tells my sister and my granny, and now everytime i see a famiy member they're talking about my attitude. i talk to people but i prefer to be alone and feel like i'm independent becuz i'm only 13. i feel like my family can't except that. am i wrong for feeling this way and acting like i do?
