I recently learned how to realize I was dreaming, but I had no control over the dream. I simply wasn't afraid to move around in my dream world and do the things that were required of me. But I couldn't control the terrible things that were happening. I had to adjust to them as I would in real life. How can I control what happens? How can I fly in my dream?

I've been writing everything down, and remembering every detail. But I can't stop and smell the roses, so to speak. I can't stop and think in my dream in order to get control of the situation. HOw do I do this?

I eventually want to have a conversation with my subconscious and be able to change things in my life, i.e. habits, personality problems, etc.

Why can't remember an eventof waking reality during dreaming period and yet your total character shows up?

In one dream, I dreamed my father has died( no memory that he had already died several years ago in waking reality) but my personality in that dream is behaving the same in totality like in waking period?

Some psychological patients completely refuse the idea that they are ill, and refuse to take medicine unless they are forced to take it, which maskes the situation and remedy more difficult to deal with.

Why is it we sometimes become so self absorbed in our own hurt, pain, and every day life, we magnify our hurt, and pain to be much bigger than everyone elses, that we forget about those who are worse off than ourselves.....i always try to take the time to put my feelings to one side, just so i can listen and share my compassion with someone else ...what about you?....are you too self absorbed?.......i'm talking about in real life, not just here.

I have some friends that are REALLY religious, theyve told me sometimes that I need to accept god and all that stuff, but when I talk about that seriously with any of them, they say the same arguments and the same stuff, like their brain is clogged, what makes a smart person accept something without reasoning it?

This is a serious question. I rarely drink coffee but when I do it does something to my brain. I am almost out of hand where I have to fight may evil voice in my head so that i don't ring a single women friend and ask her around for a game of strip poker. Am I the only one that coffee does this too ?

I have always been a fairly happy person but for about the past year I have been in a downward spiral. I am unhappy with every aspect of my life. My work, my living arangments, my money situation, my relationship, even my family is putting extra stress on me (through no fault of thier own). I have tried everything i know to do to make it better. When I feel like this I can usually work thru it on my own but the more I try the worse it gets. Every one says if it is that bad then it can only get better but they are wrong. When I think I am as low as I can go I only go lower. I am below rock bottom.

I would never take my own life but sometimes (most of the time now) I wish my time would be up just so I didn't have to feel this way any more.

Im in quick sand. Help me please.

I am graduated into college by the way. Anyway in my highschool I went to there's this history teacher that likes to flirt with his students, kiss girls on the lips and hold them while at a game as if they were boyfriend and girlfriend. Well I hated this and while I was in Jr. High I told my favorite teacher who was a woman what he did and then he denies it all and starts making up stories about me hitting on him and treating him like his boyfriend. Well that isn't true because I hardly ever talked to him and if I called him about an assignment I'd freeze up and hang up (that happened twice) that's the only thing I did.

So what does this behavior of this guy mean? I hate him by the way.

My friend is happy one second, and unhappy the next. He takes things out on me that aren't my fault, then the next day he apologizes for it. He doesn't sleep - and has a drug problem in the past. He has attempted suicide before. He talks down to me and recently told me that we could never be a couple because he can't talk to me at a certain level.

Why does he say these things to me? Are these signs of being bi-polar?
