I know lot of people with low self esteem. To coverup that they do imitating others peers, collegues etc; and this lead to lack of motivation and laziness and even scudlgerry. One should always do what one is motivated to do what ones inner motivation and faith lead to.

To answer the heading of your question: Some people are just turned one way or the other (ie: motivated or lazy). Think about the things that make you happy. Focus on them as much as you can. Look around you, inside your house/apartment and outside, what can you do/must you do to make things liveable? Start one step at a time and do them. Be thankful for all that you can physically do, if you have no physical handicap. If you do, this life--ALL OF IT--- is the hand you've been dealt. Play the hand the best you can regardless...you only go 'round once.

Listen you have to decide right now what side of the fence you want to be on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a lazy person. the only person that has to deal with that, IS YOU. As long as you are comfortable being yourself a "LAZY PERSON" then you could live and die happy. but if you can't live with out accomplishing anything without being someone with out leaving the world better than you found it. Then you have to realize that it starts with you deciding right now what would you be happy with?

When someone-by possibly mere chance-comes to to the point where he/she desires to be a better and good, happy person, then he/she will fight against laziness. Of course, this is assuming the person has no health problems...

The best way to find a true answer to this is to search inside of yourself and take a long, deep look into your personal history. A licensed professional can help you look at it all with objectivity and common sense. When you see what causes a particular behavior, you can be on your way to healing. Prayers and best of luck to you.

It could be hereditary or a product of your environment. But if you know that you have a problem then that is half the battle. The other half is seeking help and solving the problem.
