you definately sound depressed...
you may need help from a psychiatrist or therapist..
some other things you might try...
journaling (can be very healing)
walking
talking with a good friend
doing something different (changing your routines can sometimes help a bit...like taking a different route to work or school, or watching a movie of a different genre than you'd normally watch...)
meditation
church/spirituality
or...make a gratitude list, every single day write 5 things that you are grateful for...write 5 different things every day for a month...it sounds kinda corny, but it really can work...
good luck and hope you're feeling better soon

The suggestions that you seek out a doctor are not all that far off.
You may have the beginnings of real clinical depression. This isn't a sign of weakness on your part, you may have a slight chemical imbalance that through no fault of your own is gettin the better of you.
Talk to someone about maybe getting into a drug study.
Medications can help, they won't ruin or run your life, but they will get you back to your baseline.
I looked at your profile..
I bet you're the rock of the group huh? The one everybody always comes to for advice and the one who can always be counted on to do the job right the first time.
That can take a toll.
My favorite line in Blackhawk Down is when the two soldiers get left behind to guard the road;
"Why do I always get left back?"
"Because you're dependable."
"Man I hate being dependable!"
Take a strange vacation......go skydiving.......buy a bag of balloons and go on a popping spree.......

You definitely sound depressed, and need to go get help with it, both meds and therapy. But right this minute, I'd suggest you write out your resume, listing the skills you have. Sell yourself to an employer. This exercise can really boost your self esteem, when you see how many skills you have mastered. Take every negative in the your question, and insert a positive word. For instance, money problems; "I don't make enough money. But this year I bought . .. , and paid .. . . and had a fun time doing .....--just write positives.
I had a rough time with unipolar depression from age 16 thru age 22. I only got bad enough once to actually need meds--the rest of it was learning how to think and manage my life.

First remember that this is only temporary...We all have down periods and this might be lasting longer than usual for you....But even if you have to make a superhuman effort ....happiness can be just around the corner for you...
You gotta get started...and you are doing that now by asking this question..
.You need some help...From people or books or even...Maby you should try some kind of spiritual programme....meditation or yoga...or read some self improvement books like eg Tony Robbins.. even go to a chuch or temple and find out about some higher power that you can call upon.......I'm not very religious but you know what really works, miraculosly.
Prayer....honestly...it does..
Infact prayer is a very powerfull and effective way to help bring about positive changes in your life...Pray as if you were talking with your most trusted and influential friend..
Ask for help...talk about how you want things to be...cover all aspects but not all in the same sestion...Put what you want into some time frame....when you want these changes to happen...be realistic...Think about life how life is going to be when these changes take place....how much happier you will be.
also write things down...your feelings each day...make plans for your future...the money you want and when...the kind of relationship you long for.
Don't be afraid to talk to your family, partner, and friends about how you feel....tell them that you want to make positive changes in your life....
Nobody can do this for you...it.s up to you...but the prayer thing helps you tap into some super powerfull force that gives you what you need....strength, confidence, material things, joy and will to live happily in this world....Just ask for it....scream for it, demand help, devine intervention......but you really gotta know what you want and believe that you can have it...and you deserve it....and for sure you will.......just make sure you want the right things..
sorry to waffle on so much ( and my spell checkers not working)
i've made myself fell better now at least...I hope I might have said something that might be of use to you.....I'm gonna pray for you too....hope you don't mind...maby some other readers will do it too......but someone up there or out there or whereever wants to hear from you.....try it out the results can come quicker than you might expect.......love you sweetheart

I think you should try a councilor. If you don't have insurance or can't afford it try your local church. Alot of times they have free counseling. When ever I am in a downward spiral I go see a therapist and it always helps me. Remember sometimes it takes a couple of tries before you find one you like. I always give someone about three visits before i make my final decision.
Good Luck.

I'm so sorry that you are feeling so down. I have a question for you - are you surrounded by people who constantly think and speak negatively ? You need to find a group of positive thinking folks who can pump joy and peace into your life! I highly recommend that you find a Spirit-filled church with folks your age and get involved! You DO NOT need meds - trust me! God bless!

This sounds like clinical depression. Talk to a mental health counselor about what could have caused it - it may be a hormonal imbalance or a side effect of an illness (diabetes, for example, often triggers depression).

If there are specific things in particular that makes you unhappy (your salary, the way your boyfriend talk to you, etc.) write it down, and then try to think if that happened to a friend, what would you tell her to change her situation?
Now, try to apply that to you.
If you think there s nothing to do, maybe you should go to a therapist.

i totally know how it is. once you think that the worst has happened something else does. i know you dont want to hear this but things will get better i promise. something will happen in your life that will turn everything around. just dont resort to hurting yourself because that doesnt help anything at all (trust me I know from experience). i hope everything turns out okay for you.

You need to talk with your family doctor and maybe they can prescribe antidepressants. Now, don't think you're crazy or anything if you need meds to help you. I was in your shoes a few years ago, went to the doc and talked with her. Now, I'm taking meds and it helps so much. The medicine doesnt's make you "high" or anything. Please try it.
