'Others' meant for relatives or family members or members of the society

Yes. We all are working for ourselves. We may be pretending as if we are doing for others. In fact, this self interest only works as an 'invisible hand' in running this world. When you are studying in school, do you think we are doing service to others? When we are working, we are not working for the office or boss. We are working for our income. Money we need to support our family. Donot earn for a month, wife and children will desert us and it is our selfishness to have them around, we have to earn.
Any social benefit or benefit to others is a byproduct and/or incidental.

Your are correct in more ways than one.

What is it to serve God and to do His will? Nothing else than to show mercy
to our neighbor. For it is our neighbor who needs our service; God in
heaven needs it not. --Martin Luther

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to
give his life as a ransom for many." Mark 10:45

the phrasing of your question confuses me.
if you meant
"does anyone work for others rather than for themselves?"
then technically, no - anyone who works either voluntarily or compulsory, works for personal survival first, community second.
slaves work under the logic that it will spare them from punishment and/or death, and even the most philanthropic of missionaries have to stay alive in order to complete their task, except in the case of martyrs, i guess.
