I have co- dependancy issues, I let people walk all over me. I apologize to people who hurt me, and Ive never been any other way. I hurt because I want to be more strong of a person but it seems like no matter how hard I try I always am this weak, woman always struggling to become this person I want to be. I feel like everything is holding me back from becoming this person. As a child I lived a sheltered life, I have always been controlled by others and manipulated. How do I learn to take a stand and become a strong woman. How can I keep people from hurting and taking advantage of me. How do I get out of this co dependancy on people? Its so bad that I apologize to someone for bumping into me I ask them to move and they dont move and I say thankyou, I swear Im that bad. I sometimes wanna be a b*tch but I honestly dont have it in me , without being a horrible person ofcourse...

Does anyone know the name for the psychological condition by which people hurt others (verbally and emotionally) so that they can help them? I know of two people who seem conflicted in how they treat people. They want the worst for people and almost seem pleased when the other person is hurt or fails. But in the same instance, they want to help the person who they just hurt.

For example, a woman undermines her husbands business and doesn't want him to succeed, yet she wants to help be a part of growing the business.

In another example, a mom is secretly pleased when her children fail and seems to get a high that it gives her the opportunity to financially and emotionally help them. In the same breath, this same mother despises her children who do well because they don't need her help.

If this behavior is brought up to the offender, they insist they only mean well.

Is this a severe case of co-dependence or passive aggressiveness? What is this psychological condition?

I frequently find myself so 'down' that I have to spend lots of hours listening to music, writing, eating, feeling hungry, etc to get better.

How can I deal with my problems in a more productive way? This is really killing me :(

This guy has been having a pop at me since I started asking questions tonight. He is afraid to accept emails so hides from rebuff remarks.
I think everyone has the right to ask a question without being made to feel like a leper so please if you are reading this give us all a break from your petty whims.

Think about it.... If you are a younger guy who has to spend an extended amount of time (like 3 mo. +) away from home, or are gone overnight frequently, there is a more likely than not chance that your woman will cheat on you sooner or later.

It is believed by the scientific community that women are hard-wired to cheat so as to subconciously increase genetic variation, and it is speculated that 20% of kids are not their fathers!

For men, i does not seem to matter how solid your relationship/marriage is, if you are not there to watch out for your interests, you will get screwed, and not in the good way.

Now for the idiots on yahoo, I am not bitter or angry or jaded whatever the insult of the day is today. This is an honest question.

Thanks, you thoughts are appreciated.

recently i had a dream that i made out with my boyfriend's friend. lately, i have found myself thinking about the whole situation somewhat frequently. i feel terrible, as i would never cheat on my bf. i do love him, even tho we have been having some problems lately. why has this dream and the friend been occupying my mind? i was thinking it was because maybe i haven't been feeling very loved by my bf, but what would cause me to ponder on such thoughts? has this ever happened to anyone else?

Okay we have all heard the saying "mind over matter"...so have you ever wanted something to happen, and almost willed it to happen...and it does...is it only coincedence, or power of the mind?...what are your views...no jokers.

I am single and in my 30's. I am having my second child and am happy. But my family is made of pastors and I feel guilty. Whenever i tell people I am pregnant, I feel critisized, even if they are not critisizing me. I hold my head high and show my pride, but inside, I feel like a dirty little sinner. How do I let go of childhood brainwashing and feel the pride and happiness deep down?

I feel like I have no purpose here. I'm forced to live a life that I don't want to live because I don't want to be a failure, but at the same time I feel like I have already failed. I always fail in EVERYTHING I do. I see a counselor once a week, but it is not helping at ALL!
