Why can't remember an eventof waking reality during dreaming period and yet your total character shows up?
In one dream, I dreamed my father has died( no memory that he had already died several years ago in waking reality) but my personality in that dream is behaving the same in totality like in waking period?

Character and temper form personality. But neither of them reside in memory according to Freud. Yet both can use that ability.
From memory we can try to get things that we have perceived. Unconsciously or yet preconsciously.
