Do you think changing jobs is good? What are some of the problems a person experiences when they change their job? What problems can people have when they change jobs frequently? Do you think people should stay in the same jobs all their lives (or long term)? (Why?/Why not?) What are some reasons why some people continue working at the same job for a long time?

I am writing a paper for my psyc class and the professor had us read a debate on letting our children read fairy tales. The debate was from 1903. Despite the fact that you can only understand half of what the spreakers are saying; there are some very conflicting views. I just wanted to know what you thought on the subject. Are we scaring our children and letting them live in a world of make-believe or is the imagination of our children feed by the fiction we let them read? And how far do we go with this? If Peter Pan and other stories are to much for them; then who is to say that the bible is not just as much if not more than they need to read. How do we know for sure that the bible is true or false? Does the beliefe in the bible and God not take just as much imagination as it does to pretend and play? What do you think?

When my sons were small, I cut their hair very, very short. To my horror, I noticed that their behaviour changed from calm and happy, to obnoxious pains in the neck! They were absolutely dreadful and strangely, this awful behaviour lessened as I allowed their hair to grow.
Have you seen any similar reactions in your children, or have you yourself experienced a change of behaviour or confidence depending on your hairstyle?

Fashion contact lenses are able to change the colour of your eyes. Those of you who have used them, have you noticed a change in your behaviour or confidence?

How did you get over it. I thought I'd be over it, it's been like a year. But the hurt is still there.

my mind in at one place, my body elsewhere. i am always thinking about anything but the present. i daydream most of the time, if not , then i am worrying, or regretting. i really need some techniques to be present in the moment. i need reminders to snap out of it and live life as it is. any suggestions?

I would like some very detailed answers to this question and or links to websites with alot of information. I need research information and sources. I want to know about the effects on an innocent person in prison. Does it drive them crazy, do they get used to it, are they bitter, how does it change them. Anything helps. I would also like to know how the government can help this and why the government is responsible for this. Becuase it is the government that controls this so what can they do to change the mistakes that occur, and should they be held accountable for false accusations. What percentage of inmates are indeed innocent?

I know someone that continuously lies, the big problem is that they have a shocking memory. This person is often caught out in these lies but will then lie to cover the lie that they first lied about. Are they doing it for the fun of it or are they just an habitual lire

I have a job where I really don't have to think hard at all and i'm worried that my brain will turn to Mush.
I've seen those adverts on TV about the Nintendo handheld brain training software. I dont really fancy paying for a product without knowing what its like. Is there any where online that you can do this sort of thing and see the results?

Does it mean they are trying to get free phsycological evaluations of themselves? I noticed a particular user seems to be in this area alot.

I've asked a couple that recomended to be put in that catagory, but I'm really just trying to understand the disturbed people who stumble into my life. It's hard to just turn away the poor souls.

What do you think?

Y'all ever hear of people describing time slowing down in the face of imminent death? Do you think this slowing down of time is a mechanism of the brain to help avoid death, or is it just an illusion? What I mean is, do mental processes in the brain speed up so that 1/2 a second, for example, may seem like 2 or 3 seconds?
