There is no mystery. Some people are simply better at picking up cues from their surroundings and from other people.

Do you mean "What is the mystery of intuition?"
We know that geniuses have their greatest thoughts when relaxed. Then the brain slows down its waves from may be 44 hertz to 8 hertz, going into what is called the Alpha State. This is scientifically measured!
In this state intuition is accessd and all knowledge can be gained.
Why would the brain slow down, when greatest knowledge is gained?
Because the mind, thought to reside in the brain (accurately in the youngest part of the brain, the cerebrum), is not the genius in us! The mind does not know much, but the intuition, connected with the older parts of the brain and with all cells of the body, can acess all knowldge of all times.
From Apha we can go further into the Theta and Delta States, where the brain waves are even slower. Normally, we then are asleep during these states, but we can learn to stay awake that is, to keep the mind alert and watching without interfering. The mind worries, the intuition relaxes.
Below the Delta State is a state with no brain waves at all, without that the person is dead. I have watched a man in this state, he was absolutely still and motionless for may be half an hour, kneeling with arms stretched out with no trembling, as if petrified. He had a delightful time in this state!
When our mind (cerebrum) is not the greatest intelligence, why is the mind trained in schools? Do we unlearn in school to easily access knowledge? Would it not make sense to teach how to use our all-knowing intuition? The intuition is used in so-called Super Learning Techniques, with great results.
Everyone can be their own genius! The intuition, starting to be more active in Alpha, is the key. This is the mystery.
We have what it takes to get there, we only have to remember!
