Does it mean they are trying to get free phsycological evaluations of themselves? I noticed a particular user seems to be in this area alot.
I've asked a couple that recomended to be put in that catagory, but I'm really just trying to understand the disturbed people who stumble into my life. It's hard to just turn away the poor souls.
What do you think?

I assure you, I am not talking about myself. Perhaps you spend more time here than I?

Well if they are allways asking about themselves maybe...but thats not sure, if theyr asking about anybody else they might just be interested in psychology, or maybe they feel that something is wrong with them and want to be sure that theyr OK.

It either means that they have lots of psychological issues or they are so interested in the psychological phenomenon of the mind that they are looking for answers. Let me continue by saying that there is nothing disturbing about someone who wants to know more about themselves and the behavioral aspects of human beings. By the way, I would look into that problem of disturbed people that come into your life...the poor soul might just turn out to be you.

Psychology is an interesting subject. The person who frequently asks questions in this section doesnt necessarily mean she/he is unstable. She/he might be a student!
When I was a student several years ago, I find Psychology an interesting subject. It is also amazing to analyze how different persons are.
The way a person talks, dresses, eats, walks tells more of his personality. I am a physician & I can make people open to me their deepest problem. I had people being raped, battered, abused telling me their problems. Most patients dont open up with their doctors.
There are alot of psychosomatic disorders seen in different people.

it somewhat is an computerized recreation so yahoo does not do something, they only set up this technique and depart it to the purchasers to do what they do. in case you probably did no longer ask an entire question you may get violated. in case you probably did no longer consult from the bible or approximately god or asked approximately religions then you definately might probable get violated on account that's what's in that type. So the word "spiritually" and writing approximately asking a query in Psychology do only no longer tournament, so somebody would have violated you.

They are very curious about psychology and internet learning is faster and cheaper than going to the library or getting a college education...maybe this person is a psychologist studying the behavioral patterns of the Yahoo clientele....

The person might be:
* majoring in Psychology and thus uses this site as a data gathering place.
* dealing with issues in his life and either doesn't have the money to pay some professional or doesn't have the guts to go to any therapist.
* interesting in getting to know other people's reaction (perhaps he/she is desperate to get some connection).
* unemployed and has nothing else to do.

May be few people would like to evaluate themselves but most of the people like to try to understand the frame of mind of others and emotions regarding various points of life Various incidents like sadness, happiness and fear of mind etc like tlhis it is very difficult to evalluate stratagy of mind so may be interested to understand. For ex child psychology is very much interesting subject may arise doubts abt the subject so people are interested in the field of psychology

Maybe they are psychology majors working on a report? Personally, I have a general interest in the topic...but I wouldn't go out of my way to ask a bunch of questions here.
People are strange and have their own weird kinks...if they are seeking help...not meaning to be rude...but what business is it of yours? You have the right to just ask 'em...go get some help, or joke about it a bit and ask them if they are seeking diagnosis...you might just be surprised at the answer you get!
edited to add: I wanted to address your additions...my thought is "Who died and made you the GOD of the psychology questions?"

YA is for helping anyone and everyone by anyone and everyone. Some people utilize it for doing their homework, some just for points and the major just for fun. If you can provide some valuable suggestions, and if someone say that your's is the best answer out of 100 answers won't you feel proud(atleast I do)

Depends on the question. They could either have an interest in psychology or a fixation with it.
