Mediate 15 min a day. lay down in your dark bedroom turn off all sounds and lights and then consciencely try to amagin relaxing your big toe, to your little ..your legs, your thigh, your tummy your back your hands until you are 100 percent relaxed. This really will help, but stick with it,... 15 min a day isn't too much to ask for

If you deal with things as they come along one at a time, perhaps you would be better off. By no means is this a lecture: it's what I have learned to do, so I may focus in the present. Also, don't wait until the last minute to start projects; it causes to much pressure, which can throw off your concentration. Eat right, get exercise and a good nite rest. good luck.

Sometimes or most of the times, this problem is a problem of those people who have ADHD or ADD, like me. But my solution of ten with regards to situation like this is bringing with me a pen and a paper all the time or if you have a voice recorder, it will help a lot!!! While you are doing something then you come up with an idea, record it immediately!!! Sometimes even I am riding a bus or taking my shower, i can record things that i need to write later on. Or you can try this simle exercise which was recommended to me by my therapist: Light a candle (Scented candles are the best!). Put it near you or in front of you while you are doing your paper. The flickering light of the candle would make you feel at ease. Try it!!! It works on me.... probably works on you too!!! Good luck and welcome to the "CLUB"!!!

1. Practice narrowing your focus.
2. Turn a mental switch in your head that says that the topic is the most wonderful topic in the world.
Worked for me.

I have this problem at restaurants. I can never pick just one thing off the menu. Finally, I pick something and eat it when it comes. I never miss the stuff I didn't pick and I get to eat with everyone else. My advice. Pick a topic and stick to it - no matter what. Put blinders on and don't worry about the stuff you didn't choose. You will get a lot more done and trust me, you won't miss the stuff you didn't decide on.

Take a few minutes each day to make a list of all the other stuff. Just write it down. Sometimes it's helpful to make a daily list, too. Either way, when something's done, cross it off.
I've found this helpful. I spend less time scanning my "mental to-do list" because I don't have to keep refreshing it in my short-term memory.
