I refer of course to a process of meritocracy rather than tokenism. Honest, heart felt answers are far and away more poignant than quasi politically correct ones. How do You rate the participation of Male contributors?

There was a question posted about topless pools in Vegas and I'm catching a flight to Vegas at 4am for a conference, so while I'm in the mood and can't sleep, I should ask ya'lls opinion about topless beaches and pools. I grew up in Sweden and all beaches are topless, nobody really cares. What's the big deal in the US? Any rambling is fine too...it's late at night...

What are the driving factors and motivation towards finding a woman partner for other women?

I want to know what drives bisexual and gay women to become this way?

Is it from birth or is it environmental?

Men always want more women than they can handle. Women always buy more shoes than they need.

On the August 20 broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio show, discussing comments made by White House senior adviser Karl Rove about Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (NY), Rush Limbaugh claimed that "nobody criticizes Hillary. ... Well, you might say, 'No, Michelle Obama and Mrs. Edwards are out there criticizing her,' but, see, I finally figured this one out, too. You can't hit the girl. You just -- you can't hit the girl."

He added: "But the drive-bys" -- a term Limbaugh uses to denote the mainstream media -- "aren't taking that seriously, because Hillary's the inevitable candidate."

Hmm I thought Hillary was criticized quite a bit, do you think Clinton isn't being critized since "she's a girl"? Why or Why not? http://mediamatters.org/items/200708210002

on TV I always hear when they say weaker gender as women and who ever says that on the TV, they dont mean anything wrong. like if someone makes a show about modeling and in the show someone uses the word weaker gender as women. but I didnt heard that once, I heard that through all of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not deaf!!!!! I can hear better than anyone, I had my hearing tested and I hear like cats. in all those shows about modelling or anything connected with women, someone in the show said weaker gender but he or she didnt meant anything wrong. so I learned from the TV and I said how fragile women are and I was already attacked by feminists. I wasnt around women before but now I am, so then I must be stupid if I see women as something fragile that needs to be treated gently. am I and all those people on the TV stupid cause we used the words weaker gender?

That one sex or the other should be exempt from criminal prosecution?
There seems to be some myth that women are not punished as severely as men. I have seen more instances where women were treated worse because they are EXPECTED to be good and conform to what they are told.

Questions have been posted about Feminism and fake boobs. Firstly, not that it's any of your business, but I do not believe in putting silicon in my body, and if I one day choose to change my mind, I don't believe this to have anything with women's struggle for gender equality (feminism), so I will go ahead and do what I feel like doing to improve my body. Secondly, the feminism that I believe in promotes choices, not limitations.

Is there anything I'm missing about Feminism and personal choices?

So many arguments, so many insults, so many closed minds. Is there something everyone agrees on?

There is so much offense and defense being played here that people seem to be 'hard core feminists' and 'chauvanists' when I suspect that most of us are not really that extreme.

So I was wondering if there is a point or topic that you think everyone (or at least most) will agree with besides 'we agree to disagree'.

look down on my friend? He is 42 and his girlfriend is 18 and no matter where they go people shake heads and make nasty comments, sometimes aloud! Are they jealous of their happinness? And why are they so quick to stereotype that relationship? You never see other men get irritated by this, they usually high-five him (when she is not around...) I ask becasue I am in a similar predicament (30/19) and I can already feel the weight of public disapproval... Your thoughts?

For example I don't wear miniskirts and I like longer skirts and dresses because I feel comfy in them and they are more easy to move around and sit in more naturally you know?

My bf says that I dress modest. And older friends say that I'm sweet.

heterosexual males? If so, what does this say about how much men value women - regardless of their sexuality - as *human beings*? Why do I rarely hear women referring to gay males with such a hostile and dismissive attitude?
