"She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for packed lunches, took meat
out of the freezer for tomorrows supper, put spoons and bowls on the table,
some wet clothes in the dryer and a load in the washer. She watered the
plants, she wrote a note to the teacher, and pulled a text book out from
under the chair. She looked in on the kids and turned off their bedside
lamps, hung up a shirt, threw some dirty socks into the laundry and updated
her "To do" list.

About that time, dad turned off the TV and announced "I'm going to bed". And
he did ... without another thought"

and also this predisposes my daughters and or grand daughters to unbalanced hormone levels, resulting in just slight adaptations with each generation less busty or obese in retrospect to history of larger breasted women in general than today.

most women will not aproach a man that they find attractive.
why is it the mans job to go to the women? women, you will not scare us if you aproach us the right way. sound familiar?. men and women are alike, but with a different style.. we don't know what we want until we see it. rejection is what we all fear. no disrespct, but don't ask men to do what you would not without taking a leap yourself.

Because women(feminists) want the feminists to fight for womens rights and men to fight for mens rights.

What they want is for the genders to be continually fighting.

That is why feminism is dumb and equalism, humanism are much more intelligent and non-sexists and non-bigoted approach for society

One of the biggest issues men have with some branches of feminism (not all ) is there absolutley no effort to reduce collatarell damage . If a guy gets hurt in the process of gender strife no big deal.

A lot of men (not all ) try to be very specific about there gripes without inflicting collateral damge on women .

This probably one the biggest issues out there .There are many detractors to feminism becuase to be honest it is percieved as a blunt instrument of destruction rather than a surgeons sharp scalpel excising the cancer of gender hatred that pervades society today .

Take it and run . Comments ? Suggestions ? Opinions ?

Please try to be as precise as possible .

US Congressional Committees have recommended that women be allowed to participate in all combat roles in the US military, but Congress refuses to implement the changes. When will we ever get equality with a Congress like this? When will we catch up with other countries?

News today: A Israeli military study calls for opening all combat roles to Israeli women, including women and men being required the same enlistment period of 3 years:
http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/09/17/africa/ME-GEN-Israel-Women-in-Uniform.php

The article implies that women must meet the same standards as men, to be considered for combat roles; but they will no longer be automatically excluded from combat roles.

When will the US Congress allow US women to serve in all combat roles, that they are qualified for? And require women to register for selective service, like men?

I'm not being a troll I am trying to ask questions as they pretain to gender and equality. I present a logical argument and am not being offensive or personally attacking anyone.
The only conclusion I can come to is that you have no argument. Please correct me if I am wrong.

For example there are men who I admire a lot and I value their thinking and views. They earned my respect from their behaviour and their thinking w/o trying to .. which says everything you need to know about them.

What has your experience been? :)

She murders her husband and claims abuse (as if that is a reason) because he 'made' her where some shoes she did not want to where/because he supposedly criticized her.
She was convicted and let go two months later and is now free and wants custody of her kids.
To me this should be a wake up call to every able minded person that there is something terribly worng with how men are treated. When a woman can get away with murder becasue he was critical and potentially win custody of her kids there is something worng.
Will all the true equalists out there agree with me inthat Mary should have been locked up for life if, not put to death?
If not, do you think that if a man shot his wife in the back with a shotgun, tore the phone line out, and left her there to bleed to death, that he would get away with it because he said she was a nag?

Brothers forgives me for bothering you with another question, but, I'm very curious and wanted to know. Have you ever try to be a positive influence and a strong role-model for other young boys? I'm pretty actives in Boy Scout and I often spend time helping out the boys in my neighborhood with their homeworks. My heart is fill with pride and joy to be around such a large group of strong and intelligent young boys that's going to grow up to be REAL MEN!.

I personally feel that it is our duty and our responsibility as Men to look out for the well being of other young boys out there. To protect them from crime, drugs and feminism. To help them getting a better education, teaching them the basic of Knighthood and how to be a REAL MAN!. I'm very passionate about this, because I want all young boys out there to have a bright future.

Your thought brothers?

Okay I was just wondering why so many couple are choosing not to get married but still living together and having kids?? This confuses me it pretty much requires the same level of commitment why not make it legal. I know brangelina says they wont get married til gays can but i don't think this is the answer for the majority. Can anybody in a similar situation help me understand this?

A question like this is probably better suited in a different category but gender and womens studies is so much more fun

Currently I am in a workplace with approximately 2/3 men and 1/3 women. Currently one woman throws temper tantrums adds sick days at the end of vacations, just alot of drama. Another woman is pretty cool but it seems she has no immune system. She was bitten by a single ant and now can't walk. Its just that last month it was something else. I don't work in a male ego environment, so its pretty peaceful...I know because I have been in those environments before. A previous woman working here had considerable animosity towards one woman. What's up with all the drama? Any thoughts?

I am not trying to be funny here I am serious, is feminism a facade for unhappy and un-attractive women to get together and share their hatred of all men. Isn't holding "All men" responsible for the actions of "Some men" Just like holding all black people responsible for a few black criminals? or holding all Jews responible because a few german jewish bankers were jerks after WW1? I hope I get one or two logical answers in between all the insults and misandry this is gonna generate.

How can an asexual, lesbian woman, or a woman who has taken a vow of celibacy punish men who make sexual advances at her? This question is on behalf of all my sisters who simply want to walk or ride a bike to the store and back without men trying to recruit them for lewd and immoral acts. Men don't put up with men doing this to them, so why should women settle for less? Why do men have the luxury of being able to walk down the street and not be seen as a sex object?

Do modern-day feminists believe that "equal rights" is the same thing as "identical rights"?

2007-09-21 12:40:00 · 12 answers · asked by Me 6

There seems to be a serious confusion about people (such as myself) who believe men and women are entitled to equal rights, as equal human beings. Being EQUAL is greatly different from being IDENTICAL. We have different physical strengths, sex organs, women give birth, men don't---however, what does this have to do with being valued as equal human beings with the same rights?

A senior citizen is not identical to a junior citizen in so many ways, a white man is not identical with a black man, a short man is not identical with a tall man, but does that mean they should be entitled to less rights as human beings?

only girls had sexual education, so then boys complained. I think the teachers thought that 'they are too immature to listen'. now I wonder how many of those boys made a girl pregnant or got STD. its not a poor country where I live and not rich like USA. but here is a big lack of sexual education. except there's a lot of awairness about STD. everyone knows what AIDS is, but I can see that teenagers are quite ignorant about sexuality.

"if you can't beat them, join them?" I would be the first to speak up against any inequality against men. Unfortunately, reversed sexism exists also, and this is as unaccptable and needs to be dealt with accordingly. This is not what I'm asking. I'm wondeirng about women who promote gender inequality and believe men should be granted more rights because they are men. What's the psychology behind that?
