While I am a woman, I tend to be active in whatever cause makes me stop and think. Even things I have, or my family has, gone through. I am interested in Alzhiemer's, cancer prevention, education, and child advocacy. These are the things that touch my life, touch everyone's lives. I would hope that people can see beyond the gender and racial issues and just try to help and understand their neighbors.

I'm with Shadow Dweller on this one...and I thank Feminism for giving us the opportunities that we now have the chance to choose! Back in the good old days, if a girl wanted to play hockey with the guys, that would have been a no go. Now, if she can make the team, and keep her spot, nobody cares.

I don't consider a lot of things "feminine" or "masculine", so you can classify the things I'm interested in and active in whatever way you like:

Human rights in general: feminism, pro-choice activities, anti-racism efforts, progressive politics, anti-violence efforts, global feminism issues, gay/lesbian rights, education (I write letters, emails, attend political events, workshops, conferences and marches)

Outdoor stuff (I'm active in a number of groups): canoeing, sea kayaking, hiking, women's sports

Web design/computers (I attend workshops and conferences)

I’m an equalist who doesn’t like to see anyone’s rights being violated. This means that I speak up for a woman’s right to work, fathers’ rights, fairness in the workplace, and the disintegration of blatant negative stereotypes and gross generalizations.

I'm more focused on women's rights, as I'm a woman and I can more easily identify with others. I also believe sexism against women continue to exist in many aspects of our everyday lives. However, I'm against injustice and inequality among genders, races and humans in general. So I speak up against racism, as much as I do against inequalities that affect men, as well as children or immigrants. I love all people.
