on TV I always hear when they say weaker gender as women and who ever says that on the TV, they dont mean anything wrong. like if someone makes a show about modeling and in the show someone uses the word weaker gender as women. but I didnt heard that once, I heard that through all of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not deaf!!!!! I can hear better than anyone, I had my hearing tested and I hear like cats. in all those shows about modelling or anything connected with women, someone in the show said weaker gender but he or she didnt meant anything wrong. so I learned from the TV and I said how fragile women are and I was already attacked by feminists. I wasnt around women before but now I am, so then I must be stupid if I see women as something fragile that needs to be treated gently. am I and all those people on the TV stupid cause we used the words weaker gender?

I'm gonna stop supporting feminism, cause feminism is turning women into men. thats what I see. I dont see the good reason why should a woman work in the mine, deep in the ground, with only one light on the helmet. why should women work in jobs like this? they should be treated more better. let men to do this kind of jobs.

I was an activist in my things but I always said something wrong and I was already judged because of my opinion. I only wanted to do something good for the activism. now I'm gonna stop and who ever is discriminated or needs help, then help yourself. I'm gonna give up at supporting everyone.

Weak has negative connotations.

Hmm. Yknow, if people jumping down your throat for saying something offensive makes you run away from a movement with your tail between your legs, wouldent that make YOU weaker?

It is wrong, because you cant just judge every woman as weak. Just like you cant judge everyman as strong.

Are all those people on TV stupid? Its TV. I personally dont hear the term "Weaker Gender", or "Fairer Sex" often at ALL anymore -- I cant think of a time outside of a comedy routine, actually. So I honestly dont know where your coming from or who all 'those people' are!

First, saying "the weaker gender" is wrong because it is the sexes (a biological classification) who are differentiated by (average) levels of physical strength. Using "gender" here is sloppy English.

Second, it is deemed inappropriate because often the (on average) lesser physical strength of women is often (with no basis in fact) equated with or thought to insinuate or treated as a metaphor for intellectual or moral weakness.

in view that we've gotten somewhat older 50+ and we had in basic terms a splash a well being scare on the subject of me this summer time whilst quite we found out i'm healthful and extra extra healthful that we concept, nonetheless my husband has started out to be extra worrisome. i comprehend this is out of worry and not that i'm a vulnerable individual. Au contrare' he's acquainted with I nonetheless run like i'm youthful. If he did start up shaking whilst he touched me, I be afraid he had Parkinson's ailment or something like it. I in no way become a "weaker gender" style.

Because there is no such thing as a weaker gender. Although society doesn't have it set up this way (i.e. just look at the workplace, social policies, etc), men and women are equal. There are weak men and there are weak women. But neither gender is inferior to the other, and by saying one is "weaker" implies that there is a deficit, which is wrong. And you can't say that it's more about physical strength, not intelligence or emotionality. Well, that's not true either because there are plenty of physically weak men and physically strong or powerful women. So again, saying one gender is weak is a fallacy, and well, it's just plain crap!

There's nothing wrong with being called the weaker sex. At one time it was a term of deepest respect, but now even a term as sweet as that has been put through the mud and slung around. The shame of it. You know something I am just as human as the next gal, and I have to admit there are times I feel strong and times I feel weak and I accept what I am going through at the time and I just deal with it.

First of all, it's depressing if you learn all you know from tv.. Just flat out depressing.

I would rather be treated like a human being, not like a fragile item. To me, treating me better JUST because I'm a woman is just as degrading as treating a man worst just because he is a man is. Just in case you didn't notice, I'm human too.. I'd like to be treated as one.
You say you don't see a good reason why a woman should work in a mine-the reason is the same as it would be for why a man should work in a mine. We're just as human, whether you like it or not.

But, if you would rather live in an anti-human world and be sexist towards everyone.. Whatever.

There isn't a weaker gender. It's wrong to say there is, because it doesn't matter what someones gender is, everyone is human, and it's up to the individual to decide if they want to be seen as weak or strong.

About your opinion of feminism: Has it ever occurred to you that some women do want those jobs and are perfectly capable of them? Let's not bar anyone from anything.

Anyway, women don't like to be thought of as weak. We want to be treated like strong, intelligent equals.

you are a sick insecure man who wants women to acknowledge that they are weak when they are not- you must be the total useless kind. instead of trying to make women weak so you can be strong why not work at strenghtening yourself- maybe physically, mentally or spiritually- if not become a muslim- there the religion forces you to look down on women and you will feel like a hero
