Would you invest in one if you thought that she and her idea made sense and had potential?

Konnie M I used money I saved this year and I made (very small!) investments in 2 small busineses started by American women and also helped with the work with them. I have to say that it is risky.

So, you don't consider it sexist to only invest and work with companies that have Women, only because of the fact that it was started by a woman?
Just trying to help you out... but most Feminists don't like it when you admit, at least in a public forum, to actively participating in sexism. Feminism must keep it's illusion of being for equality, instead of female supremacy.
The same applies to another answer that is stating women are better than men and the thumbs up she received.
My answer to the original question: Numbers don't have a gender. I go by the numbers.

I think it's excellent that you are taking the risk, and i'm glad other women are. But the thing is (and don't take it personal to any extent, i'm not saying this is you) women are helped alot in the workforce these days and expected to get rewarded for it all the time, it's a dog eat dog world out there and be prepared to take an uppercut to the chin (in business terms hahaha) kendrick also has some valid points aswell :) just seriously, don't take our answers as criticism it's advice and some facts..

There are a lot of factors to take into consideration before committing to an investment, Gender of the business owner is not one of them.

I think I'm a little more cautious about investing than I should be. If she was a friend of mine, I would definitely take it into consideration, but if not, it would be a less likely option.

If I thought she had a good idea for a business, and had prepared a five year prospectus on the future of the business, yes I would.
Many women start great businesses.

She might even have the edge in my book compared to a man with the same potential.
I never claimed to be unbiased. I am sexist. Some for the good, some for the bad.
