Anyone here find it funny how the media constantly portraying men/husband as dumb, stupid, dopey and goofy, while the wife/women is smart and intelligent?

I find it funny because, in REAL LIFE, it is actually the complete opposite

yes yes i know men are all bad and so on .......
But really do you want men to treat women the same way the treat men.
Ive seen women expload on a guy who dare open the door for them. Without a doubt i would say that these days women are discriminated aganist however most is positive discrimination
i suppose its why alot of men like asian women which are 'submissive' (which they are not just have a different culture)

okay, hear me out!
we (esp women) are told fairy tales during our childhoods about true love & knights in shining armor that come to the rescue and of living happily ever after, with little or no effort--esp from the "damsel" if you notice, prince charming always has to overcome some type of obstacle (not a realistic one, but something)...

so do you think this unattainable goal that we've had instilled in us since childhood (effortlessly happily ever after) has anything to do with being dissatisfied with marriage or relationships in general? i know, it's just a fairy tale... but at some point it was a dream for most little girls, a dream we have to wake up from if we hope to have a genuine relationship.

maybe some don't truly wake up from this dream?

maybe some truly think that "true love" from "prince charming" will come & sweep them away & "rescue them", & without any effort on their part, they will "live happily ever after"?

To save more money, I share this small apartment with my brother, my own blood-relative left... just the two of us. I'm 21 and he's 22. I don't know how or why, but there's mean gossip out there that I'm having incest with my own brother! These feminist gossipers also impliy that I'm a weak as a woman who still depends on a man so much, a not-so-independent woman (although they seem don't care that this "man" is still my own blood-brother here!)

My brother just laughs at it since we're not inbreeding at all. We are so closed as brother and sister, but not that close... okay, we are closer than a brother and sister normally are and I do come to him everytime I need care and comfort from someone whom I truly trust....

Tell me then, have I done something wrong here? I do love him so much, but not that much....

how can you explain something to a toddler in diapers when all they really want is a lick of daddy's ice cream cone? I think we need to be better parents and stop struggling and trying to reason with them! That capacity has just not come on line mentally for them yet!

"all guys will say whatever you want to hear just to get in a girl's pants without caring one bit. that's ALL they want" following a few stories (*shudder*) and all that great stuff... and he's been married for how long, but then again he also told me that "guys actually grow up at.... 38 maybe if he's lucky" and so WHAT'S THE DEAL GUYS!!!! against feminism and equality. They even went as far with comparing people who criticize female sex supremacists to people who opposed the blacks rights movement. Do you think this comparison is accurate ? Why ? Why not ?
If we stick to the comparison who are the female sex supremacists, the ones who want equal laws and rights or the ones who oppose equal laws and rights and want special laws and rights ?

Is your husband/boyfriend circumcised or not, Are you glad of his status being circumcised, uncircumcised or have you ever wished he was or wasn't.

This is a poll question so I can get a percentile.

Do you find it disturbing when you cannot immediately assign a gender to a person that you are interacting with?

How, if you are dealing with this person on a professional basis (in English), do you get around the lack of a non-gender specific address? Do you put it off and be discourteous, hoping they clue you in, or do you (be discourteous) and ask?

(Judges, Police Officers, and some public officials have gender neutral ways to address them, but normal folks do not)
