I've been blocked by someone - ME! Someone who leaves horrible, sexist posts has blocked me! Oh GOD - I am laughing too hard.

Have you blocked anyone ever? If so, why?

You don't have to give me names, just tell me what makes you block someone.

There's a guy that i've known on and off for 6 months. He has made it known that he's interested in me. I felt confident and comfortable giving him my phone number. He's 27 and I'm 35.

The current democratic voting process was never meant to incorporate women, and as a result, women now hold the upper hand in politics. The reason being, women make up the majority of the voters. Since this is a democracy, and majority rules, something needs to be done, otherwise, women always being the majority, will always ''rule''.

Politicians know this; they know they must cater to the majority if they want to be (re-)elected, which is why they [politicians] passed laws such as VAWA which only protects women, and not men. (Note that the newer VAWA has been modified a bit and is more 'equal'.) Just like advertisers know they must make ads that cater to women, since women are the majority of consumers, especially cleaning products.

If a female tried out for president and played her cards right, she would easily be voted over other male - possibly more qualified - candidate. Sure, not *all* women are going to vote for a female president, but neither will *all* men vote for a male president. We might as well say they cancel each other out.

So right now, women are the ones who decide who’s in power.

I can already hear all the feminists saying: ‘’There isn’t as many women running for president as men!’’, but the fact is, there never will be. The reasons being that women often choose to bear children. Becoming pregnant is a big no-no for a female president. Therefore only women who do not want children will run for office. Furthermore, whether you like this one or not, women don’t find ‘’conquering & ruling the world’’ as entertaining as men. This is supported by empirical scientific evidence, since possessing a lot of power is something males want to impress the females. I could state more reasons, but I’ll stop here. (This is just to say for the feminists that we will never, ever have an equal amount of females in every job.)

A sex-based proportional democratic voting process would be a democratic voting process where voters are divided into 2 groups; males, and females.

Here is the equation for the SBPDVP to find out the % of voters voting for X candidate:
*** 100(total # of mv voters / # of mv voting for X candidate) ***
Do the same for women, then greater % wins. It would have to be done for every candidate, but it’s elementary.

Example (using simple #s): 50 men are going to be voting, and 150 women are. All those 50 men are going to vote for Barak Obama, and all the 150 women will be voting Hillary Clinton. As it stands, in our current system, Hillary would win with 75% of votes while Obama would lose with only 25% of votes, even though 100% of the men voted for him. The fair thing to do would be to make it proportional. The proportional way to do it would be: 50/50 men voted for Obama which is 100% of men while 150/150 women voted for Hillary which is 100% of women. Then, this would translate to 50% of votes go to Hillary, and 50% to Obama.

I know currently we don’t need it too much, but as the time comes, we will need it more & more.

What do you think? Would you support such a voting system? Why or why not?

Do you think the mother-in-law will end up controlling the marriage by instructing her daughter?
Is this healthy for the marriage?
How can the husband deal with this and still have a grandmother from his wife's side for his children?

Names are never mentioned. If they would ACTUALLY collect data to determine weather or not there is a paygap they would have the names of the corporations which pay women less and Boi would they make an ear defeaning shriekfest harping fuzz about it. So probably there is no data to back up the paygap myth and there is no paygap.
Am I wrong, do we actually have the names of some corporations who engage in pay discrimintion or a few examples ?

What is the secret to doing so? Our group is self-combusting, and I'm at the center of the combustion. I don't know how I got there, but I've been wondering...are women even capable of getting along in groups for any length of time? HOW??

for divorce, crime, and broken homes, then why can't anti-feminists (mainly MEN) understand the concept that there wouldn't BE a feminist movement if not for the oppression of women (by men) that exists? In other words, which came first? The "chicken or the egg"? Where's YOUR accountability? Do feminists need to apologize to the world for disrupting your patriarchy, your dominance, your privilege? Perhaps if we had equal rights and equal opportunities to begin with, there'd be no need to argue the points we're arguing now.

A feminist is someone (man or woman) who believes in the equality of the sexes in some form or fashion.

One feminist may believe that men and women are both equally capable of doing EVERYTHING.

Another feminist may believe that men and women are equal but in different ways. The person may thing that men belong outside the home (work), and women belong in the home.... BUT their roles are EQUALLY important. Still a feminist.

Why is it so hard to understand this?

Why do people only associate feminism with bra-burning (they never really burned their bras), manly-looking, lesbian-acting, male bashing b*tches?

Why do WOMEN who believe in equality bash feminists?

Why aren't high-schools teaching kids any different????

Women should stay married to their husbands even if they are suffering emotional, psychological and/or physical abuse. If a wife chooses to leave the relationship, her kids will grow up to be criminals. The feminist movement is to blame for broken homes. The feminist movement is producing criminals.

If women would just shut the hell up and do what they are told, everything would be just "fine." The world would be a utopia.

(I'm about to throw up here.)

There's a men's bathroom that installed urinals shaped like a woman's mouth. Someone told a woman about it, and a bunch of women's rights groups complained, and eventually the urinals were removed from the bathroom. What do you think? Is it funny, or offensive, or neither (or both, I guess)? When you answer, say whether you're a man or a woman.

Here's a link to a picture, and a news story about it:
http://www.gadling.com/2007/08/28/controversial-urinals-in-vienna/

Some women seem to have interpreted the urinals as advocating that men pee on women. If that were the case, then obviously it would be gross. But note that I think they're just intended to allude to oral sex. Not peeing on people.

I will admit she has a nice body, but i don't get all the hype.
In my book she is very average looking and her lips bother me, like the plastic surgeon did something wrong..
If you look closely she has her dad's lips exactly, which makes her even more unattractive.
Am I the only one who thinks this? agree? disagree?

Drew barrymore is another one that is just not that pretty, i don't get it.. she looks like a dog next to Lucy Liu...
agree? disagree?
