Tried and true for thousands of years. Why would men stray from this wisdom now, feminists?

Every girl who answers will say things like "im with you girl" or "thats because we're different then men" "we're strong and independent".

Heres where the question comes in.

Why do women continue with all this womens rights bullshit!?

You act like your not equal,
or that men dont understand that you are.

You constantly remind everyone of your independence, power, equality, whatever.

We get it. Your equal. Thats why we gave you a whole freakin amendment about it. You dont need to prove yourself by putting men down. Ive seen hundreds of things written by women saying, "Women are smarter"

Not true.

We're equal remeber?

"Women are independent"

True, but.

Everyone is independent "at least sometimes"

You act as if your treated differently.

This is true.

Men treat you differently because we have somthing called a dick.

And if you cant understand where im going with that.

you dont deserve the equality.

Do you feel your opinions about feminism have influenced your political opinions? Or do you believe your political affiliations have guided your views about the feminist movement? They could possibly be unrelated, if so how do you feel there is no correlation?

Thanks for your opinion(s).

Ok, I was reading this article I was assigned for my AP World History class. And I came across this sentence, "...women probably developed agriculture."

So my question is, if women were so revolutionary back then, how is it we came to be thought of as weak or too delicate for tasks like that when in reality the people maing those assumption wouldn't even be here without us (for many reasons).

I know the view of women has a lot to do with one's culture, but over all that's the general concensus.

I honestly don't see the benefit of marriage for either party. Its nothing more than a ring and a piece of paper. You can be in a commited relationship and live together and have kids without marriage.

I don't think I'll ever get married because I don't see how its different than a regular commited relationship.

Plus, its hard to get out of and can cause finanical and legal problems if it doesn't workout. The only benefit I see is if you are insecure and need someone to be your partner by LAW to feel commited. I'm not that insecure.

President Bush has kept his promise that he would appoint justices in the mold of Justices Antonin Scalia and Clarence Thomas, two of the most ardently anti-choice and anti-women's rights justices on the Supreme Court. With Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito on the court, the balance of the Supreme Court has been shifted.

Eleanor Smeal said, "Instead of reaching out to women and/or people of color to make the Supreme Court more diverse and representative, Bush has slammed the door in the face of women and minorities. He has appointed a man who would turn back the clock on women's rights and civil rights."

This is from another poster.. very interesting and I agree:

"Who knows. This is probably why a lot of men use women for "one-night-stands" or for sex. It's easier for a man to simply not put up with her drama, emotions, gossip, non-stop-talking, jealousies, and insecurities that all come along with being in an "intimate" relationship. It's unfortunate if the woman wants the intimate relationship and not just the sex, while the man just wants the sex. But in cases where the woman doesn't mind -- then who's complaining?"

I agree... Most women are very difficult in relationships. I have never had a long-term girlfriend because once the relationship gets serious.. the woman becomes a full-time job. Its just too much sometimes.

Why do women ask so much from men? Why are you almost never satisfied no matter what? Why don't you realize that this is BAD and should be changed?

Women putting each other down, gossiping about each other behind the targets back, or even advertising personal information that was trusted (albiet stupidly) to another woman.

Are you sick and tired of being called a "lesbian" just because you enjoy doing something that is a traditionally male-dominated activity? I weld, I lift weights, I've worked (in the past) for a construction company, I would rather drive a motorcycle than ride on the back of one....when I was a little girl I didn't play with dolls very much. I liked to climb trees, catch frogs, play sports. I had as many friends (and still do) who are men as I do women. I believe in gender equality. Yet I am feminine in appearance, at times wear dresses, love lingerie....I'm not a lesbian...I'm not asexual. Why do some people feel they must make assumptions about my sexuality (and that of others) solely based upon the non-sexual activities that they enjoy doing? I, for one, am tired of being stereotyped. How about you?

Is it true that men from other countries are specifically coming to Brazil (especially Rio) to take part in the sex tourism trade here? I am currently in Brazil on vacation and have noticed that there are many men here looking for easy sex with Brazilian women and because of the lack of opportunities for these women, they are offering easy sex for male tourists all over Copacobana. Is that the only attraction for men to Brazilian culture...the opportunity to get laid?

It seems there is a big misunderstanding about the term.

So I am curious about the following questions:

1- Where or how did you know about the word "feminism"?
2- Have you read about it, or are you repeating what others have said about it?
3- Do you know there are several kinds of feminism?
4- Have you met a feminist in real life?

I'm a stay at home mom and take care of my 2 yr. old daughter, do my home chores like keep the place clean, do laundry, and prepare home made meals. Every time I meet a new family member from my husbands side, they ask what I do. I tell them I'm a stay at home mom, and their response is always the same and say stuff like "Oh, but you are looking for a job right"? I never respond because i don't want to respond with something insulting. They say it like I'm a lazy person that just stays at home and watches soaps and eat bonbons all day, which is so far from the truth. I hardly have time to see TV. and I think I'm doing a pretty darn good job at raising my daughter. She is 2yrs and already counts 1 to 20 in english and 1 to 10 in spanish. She knows her alphabet, 7 colors and 5 shapes. I'm so proud of our little family and my husband is awsome, he doesn't demand anything from me and even helps me around the house at times, he tells me my job is harder than his. That makes me feel good.

my mom ses its because of me, she wants to keep the family up. she doesn't want us to loose a mom or dad or anything.

Why do you guys post questions that are loaded with hate-bombs and then get pissed about the answers? Do you really expect everyone (or for that matter - ANYONE) to agree with you?
I know I sure don't, and get my butt handed back to me on a platter on a regular basis! :)

But at least I try to respect what others think and not just throw inflammatory remarks at them. If I don't agree, I use sarcasm - which I think is less harmful (but that's just me).

Is this a "dish it but can't take it forum"?

Science is saying that intuition is the mind set for the 21st century, if I'm not wrong. Won't that put women even further ahead if they develop that talent? And the same is true of emotional intelligence. Seems like an edge to me.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think I know where women belong, and it surley isn't in the workplace....I'm a female and I feel that women by nature are meant to nurture babies, and take care of the home. Just wondering if anyone else agrees?
