Tried and true for thousands of years. Why would men stray from this wisdom now, feminists?

The Bible does indeed say the quote you mention.

The first printed version of the Bible was in the 16th century. Previously the Bible was put together at the council of Nicea during the 6th century (a.c.e.)

A lot of time has passed since then and human knowledge has and continues to increase dramatically.

It could equally well be said now that it is equally better to live in the wilderness than with an angry and contentious man.

It is time to move on from the gender debate. Life has much more to offer than these tired old arguments.

What is your question exactly? If a man dwells with an angry and contentious woman, then who is stopping him from leaving and going to live in the wilderness?

And if a woman dwells with an angry and contentious man, isn't that just as bad or worse?

My interpretation of this passage is that angry and contentious people are difficult to live with, and that they have the effect of making their mates want to go and live in the wilderness with wild animals.

In contemporary times it is not necessary or useful to think that the only angry and contentious people in the world are women.

Are you trying to argue that only women are angry and contentious, while men are serene and blissful?

Although I'm not a Christian, I find the Bible full of timeless wisdom about dealing with people. I think it's usually worse for a guy to be "stuck" in a house with an angry woman than vice versa, yes.

Gee, I thought it said that it is better to sleep on the roof of one's house than to dwell with an angry and contentious woman.

It is true, and if men, would lay down their lives, as Christ did for the church, and love their wives, as Christ loves the church, then... there wouldn't be so many angry and contentious women. Atleast not Godly women. As for the feminists, (I am not one), I am very proud to be my husband's wife, my children's mother, and my grandchildren's grandmother. I strive to be a Proverbs wife that my husband is proud of, but more importantly, my Father in Heaven is proud of. By the way, I saw your other question, that was VERY VERY UNGODLY! So, don't quote scripture and use my God's words, when you have something that VILE and DISGUSTING on another question. Don't you dare! Shame on you!

The one where you linked it to the rape site. Don't act like you don't know!
