Do you believe that the girls truly understand what they are doing? Are you okay with those girls appearing in those videos?

It was quite correctly pointed out that we ALL did less than intelligent things at some point in our lives. Video cameras weren't everywhere when I was a teen back in the 70's. However, the girls in these videos are of a generation that should understand the impact of video and the rapid distribution of it through the internet. It just blows me away that they do those things in front of a camera.

A survey conducted with teenagers recently revealed that the overwhelming majority of responders chose 'famous' as what they would like to be. Given that, their behaviour doesn't surprise me. Add alcohol, and you have the perfect combination for self absorbed young girls to do whatever the director wants! But they will regret it...

I've never seen one, but I have an idea what goes on. I think people do things in life that they think are fine at a certain point, and later realize, hey, that was stupid. Like if they have kids later or decide on a career where such behaviour will be held against them. These are likely quite young women who have either been drinking or doing drugs of some type, and at the time, they really don't care what they're doing. We all have regrets later on, I'm sure, but these types of behaviours can affect the rest of your life and damage your credibility. If they really want to do that, fine, but they have to know going in that their future will be impacted by that choice. There will always be a market for this kind of thing, and if they're getting paid, it's the same thing as being a stripper, only it's on film forever. I guess I look at this the same as I look at guests on Springer or Maury--those people who don't know who the fathers of their children are, and who neglect to think how such a thing will impact the child later in life. I have no respect for anyone doing this kind of thing--I'm sure there are alternatives. On the other hand, most of us have done something crazy in our teens or twenties that we regret later--it just wasn't caught on film.

Girls gone wild creeps me out. It seems to be more about humiliating drunk girls than boobies or sex. Every time I see a commercial for one of those videos, i get really creeped out and have to ponder for a long time why people get off to a naked drunk girl falling down in the shower. And it must be popular too, I mean it's been around for so long; if no one was buying them we would have stopped hearing about them a long time ago.

As for the behavior of the women who appear in these videos, I think its pretty sad. I have recently changed my opinion on pornography for the most part, aside from the stuff that's degrading for the sake of being degrading, porn doesn't bother me, and the ladies in it are, in my opinion, not doing anything wrong. This stuff though, yuck. I would like to think that they dont realize what theyre doing, but having been VERY intoxicated more than once in my life, I know I wouldn't be in something like ggw if asked. I would still know how they were going to make me look. You can't turn on the tv without seeing one of these commercials.
I think the ladies in ggw are seeking attention, they want to feel like people think they're sexy. I think that they know they are going to be made out to look stupid, but I dont think they realize what it is doing on a grand scale.

I believe the girls on that video are drunk and truly do not understand what they are doing. I blame both parties though. The filmmakers (if you can call them that) should not take videos like that and should respect the girls. But on the other hand the girls should not be acting that way, does any have any morals? or self control?

A lot of them understand what they are doing and just want the attention and don't care. It probably seems like a good idea when they are drunk. Some will regret it later and some won't. Some girls just like to get noticed.

No ,I don't think they truly understand what they are doing,I think they are caught up in the moment just having fun .They are young and naive. In a couple of years reality will hit them.I'm sure they will have regrets.

They aren't doing it for the money, because they don't receive any money - they get t-shirts and hats. I don't believe they comprehend they will regret it someday, and it will forever haunt them. I think many of them want careers in show business or modeling and believe this will help them (they're wrong).

But mostly I'm horrified at the parents who raise them with such little self-esteem.

I think they are being exploited, but no one forced them to do anything. It might be embarassing for them and their children on down the road though.

Absolutely not, they are only doing because it makes money and not because it makes them feel any better if anything it probably makes them feel more slutty about themselves. And they do know what they're doing.

They'll regret it in a big way shortly after...and in an even bigger way later in life.
