I feel so alone. I have few friends and they are all distant and not where i live at campus. I am a junior premed/honor student .. i am not a nerd or look like one in fact i am quite athletic and i have been told that i am very cute. I am also a math/physics tutor and i supervise lvl 2 and 1 tutors.

Right now i just feel so depressed i dont want to study, everytime i see people talking to each and laughing i wish that i have the same but no i am always walking by myself the only conversations that i have only last for like 10 minutes and its between my classmates
I am a sensitive guy who just finds it hard to know people, I think alot about going with a friend for a coffee that i eventually make up an excuse to not go (i just dont get in the mood to go anymore) . I used to live with my brother and sister but right now since they graduated i am alone and depressed :(. Can you please tell me what i can do..i mean jeez i have 6 friends from my college network on facebook.

your roommate is crying over a "bad" grade on a test?

The main difference between her and I is that she grew up in a very sheltered life. Now she's in college and doesn't know how to deal with anything. I take courses that I like because I want to learn while she is stressing out over grades, future jobs, hw, and all sorts of things. Honestly, I don't think too kindly of her. She thinks that she has a mind of her own and that she is confident, but she comes off as insecure and ignorant. She's ALWAYS stressed or hyper... I am fairly tolerant of her because I realize that we grew up in different environments. I feel as though I'm 6 years older than her in terms of emotional and mental maturity. However, this is getting a little annoying. She asked me to tell her funny jokes to cheer her up. How am I suppose to tell her anything funny when she's crying and when I'm feeling contemptuous of her (although I try not to). What would you do?

I'm considering getting a couple of new tattoos, and a few piercings. We have a good relationship, but he's not into body art like me. He doesn't dislike what I have already, he was against it at first, but now says he finds them sexy. I'm going to do it regardless, but don't want him to feel left out either. Should I just go ahead and surprise him, or tell him first? One of the piercings he will probably REALLY enjoy...LOL! And one of the tats will have his name inscribed along with our kids. The other tat has to do with my brother and sis. So, see, something for everybody!!! I'm an independant thinker, but have respect for his opinion as well.....just unsure of how to proceed. I know its my body to do with what I please, but he DOES have to look at it!!

I lived 18 years of my life in my parents home. Then I got married. When my parents retired and moved to a condo, I wanted to buy their home from them. My mother sold the house to someone else. Years later I approached the new owner of the house, asked them if they would sell it to me. They said yes, for 3 times what it was worth! Many years later, after my parents died, I drove by my parents house. It was a burned-out shell. Then it was torn down. The a apartment building/condo was built on the land. I had a dream that I won a lot of money in the lottery, bought the apartment building, torn it down, and rebuilt, then finally moved into, my parents house. Not the same house; a replica, but similar as possible. My wife says I am having problems with "closure". What do you think?

ok if you a millionaire or if you have won the lottery more then once do you think that person should be able to win again ? i don't do the whole lottery thing but i just think it is not fair that someone who already has the money or for someone who has already won should be able to get it again that money could help someone else out who really needs the money if you feel the same way holla if not the post ur arguement

My boyfriend cannot give a compliment, although he loves to get them. When I asked why he can't do this, he replies that he has been told this before. But still, he doesn't give any compliments. I can spend an hour dressing up to go out or spend a day in the kitchen preparing a meal and he neveer says a nice thing, etc. After a while, it almost seems undermining. What is wrong with him? I thought when you love somebody you want to tell them how much you admire and appreciate them. It comes naturally. So, I don't understand him. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Is it some kind of passive-aggressive behaviour?".

I had this dream around a year ago. I remember it as being really unusual and shocking.

I was hunting in the woods with a bow and arrow and I spotted a deer. I shot an arrow, but missed it. I then followed the deer further into the woods and found it once again. I took aim and shot. The deer fell to the ground, onto a bare peice of forest floor.

When I walked up to it, I saw a dead person.
The deer transformed into a human.

This dream seemed shocking becuase I have never hunted before, and I haven't had a dream like that.

What could this dream mean?

So, this couple with kids see me and takes the cop where I am. So, then the cop makes me walks with her. I do not know where I am going. But, something happens where the cop gets distracted and i run to the car. I get in. But, have a problem pushing the pedals. I am going in slow motion. And the cops gets to my car but tells me to drive and she acts like she is trying to hold on. Once the car starts going she lets go and I drive off. (Thats when I woke up from the dream)

I never had a violent dream my entire 22 years of life up until a month ago.
My first dream was about a big guy that was going to hurt me so I strangled him and then cut his wrists.
Last night I dreamt about my old friend and her sister and father. I slit his throat then shot my ex best friend and her sister. I called 911, the firemen came, and everyone was ok.
Either way, I'm concerned. I have looked up information and apparently I'm withholding agression?? Nah, I don't think so. Something else is going on and somebody has to have an explanation.

i have had a lot of dream recently that have featured like end of the world things, or at least world changing events. i've dreamed of massive nuclear explosions, and EMPs and giant tornados, and tidle waves.

I would think nothing of it except i have had so many of them now, and a few times i have woken up so freaked i have had to get my daughter out of her cot and give her a cuddle (it was just like i needed to hold her for a while to calm myself down)

any ideas?

http://www.ifeminists.net/introduction/editorials/2005/0420sacks.html

"For example, the National Scruples and Lies Survey 2004 polled 5,000 women in the United Kingdom for That's Life! magazine. According to that survey, 42% of women claim they would lie about contraception in order to get pregnant, regardless of the wishes of their partners."

This is just one poll, of course, but it's not the only one to unearth such findings. The editor of that magazine correctly suggested that this is equivalent to "playing Russian roulette with people's lives," and yet feminists seem to think this is rare and/or not worth worrying about. I personally know two people who were trapped like this. Neither were high earners, but both women wanted to get married, and they thought "missing" a few of their pills would be a good step in that direction.

So we know the problem exists. The real question is, why do feminists feel the need to downplay the severity? Spitefulness? Embarrassment?
