I had a breakdown when younger leading to a reserved manner that people dislike (cause they cant see the real me). I have put in lots of work to do the right things, and have had lots of disapointments and heartbreaks - after 20 plus years of emotional rollercoaster I have arrived at the dead inside point. I think I am emotionally stressed out and exhausted. Have you been there and come back to feeling alive? Was it a case of time healing, or was there action you were able to take? I am looking for a way forward.

"The feminist model of the world is not accurate. It is simply a modern-day religion. People subscribe to it in the same way that they subscribe to religion. It gives them the some kind of psychological rewards: reduction of uncertainty; an in-group to belong to; a moral compass to guide them; a feeling of importance, structure and meaning in their lives. They are on a mission to save the world, a moral crusade. It makes them feel comfortable, and superior to other people."

I think should be an interesting question. My personal opinion is that the purpose of everything, is to die? I'm not trying to be morbid or anything, but when i look at this question analytically, death seems to be every living things only constant in life? What do you all think of this view? And let me in on your own?

I asked the group if I should leave my fiance because he doesn't get along with my son. Never did I even suggest that we were living together or sleeping together. In fact, we don't even live in the same state. What do you think? Is this guy unbalanced or what?

Does should I leave , mean ,you are living with this man. Great example to your 14 year old son. Wait and watch the kind of life he leads. Problem is you don't even know you should be ashamed of yourself for living like a fornicating , moral less person. Your son shouldn't fall to far from your example. Don't expect much from him. Why care now if he gets along with anyone. In the future when he doesn't get along he can just go from one woman to the next playing house and making babies. Wake up and start living a life that can be respected now and in the future by both you and your son.

I always here from my friends about how Americans are loud. I'm inclined to agree, especially in black culture (they almost scream to communicate with each other sometimes - I actually find it ..... boisterous, not really negative...though...slightly irratating in confined spaces like on the bus.) Overall all though, white culture included, we are rather loud, aren't we? Why is this?...hmmmm

I'm at a park of some sort, there are big moonwalk like things-you know, the inflatable toys. Except they're only half full with air.
There are 5 girls jumping on the middle inflatable, one is my sister, one is a mutual friend, and the others are acquaintances. I, in my dream, walk over and observe them, laughing. They sit down, slightly exhausted. Our mutual friend joking pulled out a sword and was messing around with it. She then started to pretend to slice my sister's neck in half with it.
I told her to stop because if she slipped and actually killed her, then I couldn't stop myself from going to the police. She then swung back, and decapitated my sister, looking calming at me, saying "Who says I'm going to stop you?"
I panicked and ran upstairs into a house that apparently just appeared there, and hid in a crook in the wall of a bedroom, trying to stop crying.

And thats where it ended. Sorry its a bit long.

OK get ready for controversy! I believe women have woken up to the fact that the chances are they will be alone and unwed, and therefore will have to work for a living. Whilst I absolutely applaud women being able to earn as much as men, and therefore keep their dignity, it has meant that men have lost theirs because they no longer feel they can provide for a woman and family.

As a result the country is full of 30-year old childless women longing to meet a guy who earns significantly more than them so that they can settle down, but they can't. Women are attracted to strong men who can provide security for their children, but, because men are no longer earning substantially more than them, they are having a hard time of it. This is the one failure of feminism, and both sexes are suffering as a result. Thoughts anyone?

If you listen to any sociologist prattle on for more than a few minutes you will hear about how society is racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. They make up fancy terms and love to use verbose jargon "paradigm", "social construct", "hegemony", and other impressive words.

But what does someone do with a Sociology degree? I mean, other than point the finger of blame at everyone and everything in our proud democratic nation?

Do we really need a whole university department on this? Heck no, we don't! Talk about a useless, worthless department... Sociology takes the cake!

What about the 192 architectural and engineering that have joined http://www.ae911truth.org/ Most of them don't even assert hypothesis they simple did a peer review of the NIST report and found that it failed to give a sound explanation into the collapses of the twin towers and building #7 which was not hit by plan.

Point is these people as well as Charlie sheen and others have very little to gain speaking truth to power. Perhaps those of you who have seen the history channel hit piece and read popular mechanics could do a little research into the questions that have not been answered or answered psychologically rather then scientifically.

Former Chief of NIST's Fire Science Division Calls for Independent Review of World Trade Center Investigation
James Quintiere, Ph.D. “I wish that there would be a peer review of this,” he said, referring to the NIST investigation.

Sellfish people shoot out negative vibes. I sometimes feel I am losing my confidence/composure in the presence of an selfish person. Sometimes we cannot avoid them as we have committed a deal/ some work with them. I felt I made a mistake by entering into a business deal with him.

Did any of you experience the same ?

I'm left handed and I have horrible handwriting. It's almost like I can write in my own secret code language because no one else can read what I write. I just think of ideas too fast to get them down on paper neatly. Also, I'm good at drawing and painting, so I don't understand why my handwriting is so bad. Even when I try to write neatly my hand starts to get shaky and I start writing sloppy after 2-3 lines or so.

I believe that freedom and justice for all says it all.

So there are many causes and issues that I care about that are related.. I am basically interested in human rights and social justice and ecology and environmental protection. But you probably can say the same :)

mmmm...but I have to say that I have not Done much so far. I volunteer at an animal shelter and foster new kittens untill they are old enough to be weaned and be adopted. I volunteered for e-waste collections and computer recycling and reuse. I want to do more..

How about you? What causes and issues are you interested in and are close to you? What are you involved in? :)
