the other night I dreamt I was in my back garden and fish were swimming through the air but there was no water around them. What does this mean? (Apart from that I should be careful about what I'm eating and drinking before I go to bed!)

lately ive been having some recurring dreams. could these be memories from my past life? in one of the dreams im being auctioned off and the highest bidder is my husband (from this life). its strange because in my dream i have this sense that he is a stranger and that i dont know him but we've been married 3 1/2 years? its not always the same dream but the theme is the same and my husband is always in them. the dreams are very clear and real its like "dejavu"

Is psychology considered a science? Science is defined by evidence, measurement and irrefutable proof.

Does the field of psychology satisfy those requirements?

I'm a straight teenaged girl. The people in question could be anybody ranging from classmates to total strangers like the guy on the bus or the construction worker carrying boxes and shifting past me in a corridor. I get nervous when they come so close they pass out of my line of sight and the slightest sensation, a prick, a nudge, is enough to set my mind racing. I hate perverts, but I'm no feminazi either. I can't tell if the sensation is real or imagined. Sometimes my rational mind tells me it can't be but I havethis innate gut feeling. So...am I going insane or is it just business as usual in the life of a teenager?

I get the urge to swallow my own semen sometimes. It seems like a good idea right up until the point when I'm about to ejaculate, then the thought grosses me out. It seems to turn me on, but I don't go through with it. What is going on with me?
Please don't think this is a fake question, I am serious.

I could see everything from my eyes point of view, like my t.v, my legs, my blankets, ect. but I couldn't move a muscle. I started screaming and crying but no one could hear me, I could hear myself in my head yelling. I kept trying to move and I thought I could see myself moving but nothing was happening. I knew I was dreaming so I tried my hardest to wake up and I was even screaming "Wake me up!" thinking maybe someone could hear me. When I finally woke up I felt like I couldn't breath and began crying.. I read a bit about sleep paralysis and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if that is what happened to me and why? It was incredibly scary and I don't want it to happen again..:(

If someone defamed You because they thought that You were a 'troll' and called You a 'rapist', and then refused to listen to reason, what would You do?
Would You:

A) Just ignore Their insult, get on with Your life and let the other person continue to think ill of You?

B) Make an effort to prove that They are wrong about You, no matter how long it takes?

C) Have Them banished from Answers, whilst at the same time letting the world know of Their act of stupidity?

D) (Your personal resolution to this situation?)

I am curious as to the different answers people come up with in order to justify the actions that They would take, and the lengths that They are prepared to go to, in order to restore Their good name.

it is depressing. I think I'm getting somewhere, that I'm really improving and gaining skills, but then someone way younger or with much less experience is about 1000x better than me, and damn it, I just don't feel like trying anymore.
how do you get over this?

I remember a long time ago when I was younger...I can't exactly remember how old, but I'd say in the range of 9-12 years old...I would get extremely nervous about my mother not coming home or something...like I was afraid she was going to get into an accident or get hurt by someone. I really have NO idea how this started, there was nothing that happened to create this feeling, my dad was always there, and there was nothing wrong.

I remember many times, she would go shopping on Thursday nights...around 8 or 9 PM. Around the time she was supposed to be getting back (about an hour or so after she left), I would watch out the window for her car pulling in the drive way while I watched TV. Sometimes I would think she was late, and get extremely panicked. I would get very nervous and fearful that something had happened. Then she always ended up pulling in, and I felt so relieved, it was very strange.
