every psychiatrist refuses to treat me, and they all tell me the same thing, they tell me: " they make enough money so they can choose who they don't wanta treat"
Is there a shortage of psychiatrists, or are they overworked or what?

After the accusations of medico-legal interferance in the sad case of conjoined twins in the Balkans the dilemna was that both twins would die if untreated, whereas if they were seperated surgically one might survive.
The Church was against surgery and the Doctors mostly for an operation, thinking it better to have one living child than two dead.
The devout parents seemed stunned by the ethical questions and put their faith in the church.
Sadly both children died.
Who, if anyone was right?

How many people who are regulars here suffer from migraines, kidney stones and even depression?
Or even if you have another health problem, you're welcome to say that if you'd like. Sorry if I appear nosy, but am noticing a pattern amongst some of the Gws regulars.

I've been getting bad dreams and nightmares lately. I think it's because of my upcoming surgery in about 2 days.

The dreams and nightmares are always bloody and violent. I know they are, but when i wake up i can't remember most of it. It is usually more than one dream or nightmare per night.

The other night in my nightmare i went on a killing spree of mutated snakes. It was gory. But i'm always have a thrid person view in my dreams. I always watch what happens to me.

In another dream, i was getting raped and murdered. It's very disturbing. In real life i am acutally a very friendly, non-violent person.

Am i stressed out about my surgery? I don't know for sure, all i can say is i'm not worried about the surgery per se, but more worried about being 'knocked out'.

I have this feeling, that i won't wake up again.

Can my dreams also be related to my past, my abusive drunk pot head ex-boyfriend or could it be due to my recent break-up with my true love.

I had this dream where I'm at my mom's funural. She was in the casket, but she was sitting next to me and dad, alive and well. She was talking to everyone. No one seemed to notice that this was very strange. No one was sad.

My mom's not dead.

do you not think it's right that the father should get a mandatory vasectomy, because 1) it's a far less serious surgery, by far and 2) he participated in what ultimately led to the death of a baby and should be held responsible?

My dad still works at a minimum wage job, but gets excellent benefits and social security. I do have a job myself but I find it hard to support me, my wife and children along with my parents. My dad is 75 and he says that he might not have enough money to live if he retires. I always insisted that he retire and I can help him out. As a child, you always want to return something to your parents. He claims that he wants to retire and does not work anymore. He feel that we would not have enough to survive. I feel kind of guilty that he is still working at 75 years old. Please help me cope with this feeling. Do you know anyone that works at 75 yrs old?

I'm 54 yr male, married 18 yrs. The last 7 with no sex or intimacy at all. There is no love in this marriage, just casual living conditions. She's pretty, sweet and caring.
She's a teacher, I'm retired due to my multiple personality disorder, MPD. I've 19 personalities, children, females, teens & adults. My psychiatrist says I'll never intergrate,(to become just one personality) due to the severity of the emotional and physical abuse I endured as a child. I know she likes me. She would leave me but feels responsible for me, like a parent. She thinks I would not be able to live alone or find someone that could become close to me and live with me. I honestly thinks she stays with me because she feels sorry for me. She could find another man easily. My abusers where all females. I was abused for 7 yrs ,birth to age 7. I worked 35 years until my illness destroyed my ability to work. I loose hours and hours of time each day. Help please? I am like Cybil, just a male.

I've always wandered about what is the reason for people to know the meaning of life. I don't we, human beings, need to know. It's as if people are just so bored and in a piss mood that they want to get the answer to why that is so! If people found out the reason to life and matter, then it wouldn't be so exciting! there wouldn't be anything pushing us forward, because when or if the reason is ever so fond out(which i highly doubt), then people will start waking up in the morning saying to themselves, I'm here because...Blah-Blah-Blah! I think that people should just live life!

I know some of you are thinking what does parenting have to do with anything here but a lot of the same issues such can come up such as working women and abortion.

For those of you who don't know what that is it is a doctrine that was abolished because it was sexist against men regarding child custody.
On the issue of Gender Biasedness in family law they claim it is agaisnt the mom. There is a reason that the majority of moms have primary custody and dads have every other weekend and that is because it is the exact opposite of what NOW claims.
NOW also says: 'Despite the perception that mothers always win custody cases, studies show that fathers who contest custody win sole or joint custody in 40 to 70 percent of cases.'
I thought that the majority of cases were settled without court ruling, so this small percentage of cases in which dad contests and win 50/50 or full custody must have been contested for a good reason. Maybe mom is a psycho. I guess NOW will not be satified until the Tender Years Doctrine is placed back in effect which give mom full custody 100% ofthe time.
