we live in different cities..knew each other a little before and have kept in good contact..always was mutual attraction. we got together recently and kissed plus much passion. i contacted her to meet up..but we didnt make a plan. then she contacted me and i said 'you're always welcome to visit me if you ever want to'. She replied ' i will come but it's difficult to find you there' (i travel a lot). I told her i'd be around for a couple of months. She didn't make any comment or promise. Do you think she is interested in me? I didn't want to sound like i was coming on too strong with the invite that's why i made the invite sound casual.

what does it mean when people can easily confuse you about who you are, and cause you to think that who you are is ' their ' interpretation of you, like, how they say you are?

and how do you not let people do this to you?

they can cause you to think you don't know who you are...

i know that borderlines have a shaky sense of self...could it be this that maybe other certain people can easily exploit?

I have this play coming up and I get stage fright, and I'm really not a confident person.I'm really stressed out about this play, I don't feel comfortable performing infront of my class, and theres only about 30 people... I find myself very self-conscious and I tend to worry about things that don't matter. I'm afraid to do things, and I get embarrassed easily. I get heaps of homework everyday... and I'm so worried about my grades even though I'm only 14. I remember one time I had this english assignment and I cried because I didn't know what to write and I kind of left it to the last minute - and now when I think about it i find it stupid that I even put so much effort into that assignment when it was worth nothing. I'm too busy living my life in my dreams. Oh and I usually hate going to school cause I don't like being asked to answer a question by my teacher just randomly. Jeez I don't know what to do with my life. I know I'm young, but i stress about nothing! helpp

my friend was raped and abused too many times in her childhood. now poor girl is suffering so much, she is very depressed and is self harming. she has nightmares any time she sleeps, so she isnt sleeping anymore.

she would never lie, she is a very nice person. but she scared me so many times with her "deaths". one moment we would be talking on msn and then suddenly someone else would be talking to me without introducing himself/herself and saying "she is lying on the floor" or "she is shaking". then after few minutes that person (roommate) would say "she is dead". you can guess how many times I was worried. but then next day my friend came online saying "hey" like if nothing happened.

my friend isnt a person that would lie to people, make pranks with something so serious. she said she needs to take some pills, but she doesnt takes them. is that the reason for all this? she gets so many epileptic seizures?

ok well from all the people i talk to after they smoke they act really stupid like they cant understand or concentrate why is that? like seriously does weed make u that stupid for some people?

I've smoked weed and when i smoked i concentrated better and was more aware but other people i know act so stupid when they are usually very smart and it's so confusing like i'm actually realizing how everyone thinks weed makes u stupid and messes up ur judgment.

i'm not saying all stoners/potheads(people who smoke) whatever u want to say are stupid cause i know a few that smoke and they are smarter when they do.

But my real ? is if u smoke do u concentrate more/smarter or are u more like stupid/can concentrate

BEIJING (Reuters) - The twenty-six year-old daughter of a rags-to-riches property developer is China's wealthiest person, with a $16 billion ( 7.8 billion pound) fortune, Forbes magazine said on Monday.

Yang Huiyan shot to the top of the China Rich List after the firm her father founded floated on the Hong Kong stock exchange in April, creating five billionaires at once.

Her low-profile father, Yeung Kwok Keung -- who worked as a farmer and on construction sites before making his fortune, according to Chinese media -- had transferred his stake in Country Garden Holdings Co. to his daughter in 2005.

Also Asia's richest woman, the Ohio State University graduate this year married the son of a top Chinese official she met on a blind date, the China Daily reported.

She is one of the few on the list to have inherited her wealth, in a country where booming economic growth has created fortunes virtually overnight.

The economy has expanded so fast that the country's 40 wealthiest people are now all dollar billionaires, compared with just 15 last year, Forbes said in a press release.

Their combined net worth more than tripled to $120 billion, from last year's $38 billion, Forbes said.

But as the number of the super-rich grows, officials in Beijing are stepping up efforts to tackle the gulf between rich and poor because they fear it threatens social stability.

Real estate was among the most lucrative sectors. Eight of the top ten have big property development interests.

"Household incomes are rising rapidly, and a growing number of people are moving into cities from rural areas. Those trends are creating great business opportunities for property developers," said Russell Flannery, Forbes senior editor and compiler of the China Rich List.

Country Garden, based in the southern city of Guangdong focuses on building villas, townhouses and large apartments.

Yang's father is still chairman and chief executive while she sits on the board as an executive director.

Last year's number one on the Forbes list, Wong Kwong Yu, slipped nine places to squeeze into the top ten, even though his fortune rose by nearly 50 percent.

Forbes compiles its list by looking at stakes in listed and private companies and other assets. It excludes Hong Kong residents like tycoon Li Ka-shing -- estimated by Forbes to have a $22 billion fortune in January.

Good evening my name is Tracy and I have recently been involved in an accident that has caused me to be out of work since April of this year. I have recently had ACL arthroscopy on my right knee and may be looking forward to yet another on my left knee. The recovery time is up to 8 months. At this rate with no income I will be another number that stands in line at a homeless shelter by the time I reach a healing plateau. These injuries do not include the fact that I have 3 screws in my left femoral neck and in addition my back has it's problems too. To include deteriorating ,and bulging discs and I am sure some nerve damage that has not yet been determined as of yet.
I truly intend to eventually find employment that my injuries will not be an issue until then I am at a loss of where to turn for assistance, seriously I have no clue of where to turn at the present. Granted I have truly wonderful friends. But lets face it with the economy the way it is most of them are barely making ends meet themselves. I can’t expect them to feed me, pay my rent, clothe me or provide me with personal products etc for another 4-6 months..
I have been advised to apply for S.S. Disability. Is this a possibility and how long will it take? I know this much. Much longer than I will be able to stay afloat before it would be approved if it even would. I have my reservations about applying and one of them I guess is pride. I am only 35 and feel, kind of crappy even thinking about it. But I realize that it’s time to suck it up and get moving on it before I’m in an even worse scenario.
I have managed to not allow this depression, anxiety, frustration, insomnia and fear completely deplete my spirit since April. I am committed to surviving this bump in the road but I am not sure how much longer I can stay mentally glued together.
So if any one out there has been in a similar situation, have had friends who have made it through it or works somewhere that could possibly help. I would truly appreciate the advice or direction..

I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sure there are a lot of sexist jerks here but i wish that people would just let loose and tell everybody how they really felt about others opinions without being considered a troll or having others get their feelings hurt. Often time i just feel saying something mean or explicit (and i do sometimes). I dunno what do you guys think? I mean it's not nearly as ugly in here as politics.

My teacher gave us this scenario for our economics class and I need help with it.

"I made a comment to our attorney, who had put in quite a bit of time on a case that was settled after fourteen years. My remark was that his firm had not made a lot of money on the case, and his reply was that it was especially true considering all the business they had turned away in the past fourteen years."

What economic concept does this attorney understand? Why?

I had a dream where there are two ants reading a large book. One ant is reading faster than the other ant and turns the page before the other is ready. The slower reading ant turns the page back, infuriating the faster reading ant. The pages begin to fly back and forth as these two ants rage about which page to read. I wake up in a panicky state. I have had this dream at least one thousand times.

I dont think its weird, but at the same time i do. People tell me that baseball is the only thing i talk about, and that im "Obsessed" with it.They also tell me that im a freak about it. I just want to know if its even possible to be obsessed with "baseball"? and if it is...Is it weird? Or is it that im just too Focused on my dream?

They also think that because i work out daily, and go running daily, is another reason im obsessed with it. IDK what you people think of it.

Agree?Disagree? Thoughts?

Feminist family law attorney Sherri Donovan, National Counsel for the National Organization for Women, is urging women to greet their husbands this Valentine's Day with the words "Happy Valentine's Day -- Let's Get Divorced!!"

Donovan asserts that "the average woman experiences a forty-five percent drop in her standard of living after divorce," even though this statistic--produced by Lenore Weitzman in the mid1980s--has been discredited for over a decade, with Weitzman herself admitting her error.

Definition:

A 'girl crush' is when a woman has strong feelings of admiration and adoration for another woman, but NOT in a sexual way. The woman is typically: intelligent, beautiful, sophisticated, charming and/or accomplished. This seems to be something that has become more and more common (& more openly discussed) among heterosexual women.

I realize not all "crushes" are that innocent and harmless - hence the movie 'Single White Female'.

But how would you react? Would you be flattered.. intimidated.. feel threatened or offended if you discovered a friend has a girl crush on you?

(This question applies to man crushes as well.)

My grandpa is dead, but I was always uncomfortable around him and have a lot of memory blocks regarding him and their home. I also find I don't like being alone with my father and haven't for several years. I am 40 y/o and I just wonder if this can be determined b/c I think it will lift a huge weight from my shoulders.

When you have determined where you want your life to be in a couple months or even five years, it will have a strong impact on what goals you will be setting for yourself in the years to come. A short term goal could be as simple as passing your classes to getting your homework done and turned in on time each day. Setting long term goals can help you achieve things you want to see happen a couple years from now. Going on vacation to another country you haven’t been to and exploring the culture and sights, completing your paper for reading class that is due in a couple months, and climbing the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and being able to say that you accomplished your goals. *Whether the goal is simple or hard you can go through a couple or many steps to achieve the goal that you set for yourself to accomplish in a semester to a couple years from now. what do you think of this? anything that I could add or change? thanks.

I just found a crapload of shelters for *men* in addition to women by doing a fricking half-second Google search?

In just Columbus, Ohio, we have: http://www.firstlink.org/fl/services/community_resources/list_shelters.pdf

Then ...
http://4homeless.hypermart.net/soup_kitchens.html

- "Orange County Rescue Mission: Women's & Men's Shelter & Outreach"
- "Oroville Rescue Mission of Butte County: Men, Women, & Children's Shelter"

Do people that complain about this stuff ever do any minimal amount of research on it?
