I don't know - i think it gave many an excuse to find any excuse to complain about worse off than men so as to perpetuate the victim mentality.

e.g. Hitlary Clinton ignoring men who suffer violent deaths while defending the women & children during wars, because according to her - women have it worse because they're still alive. Wow, which might I prefer... death, or life? Hmm, gee.

Feminism didn't create an army of poor single moms. Paternal absenteeism and a shaky economy are the two major contributors to poverty among single mothers. There are others who chose to raise their children on their own and are able to support the whole family and more.

Though women had the legal rights to do what they wanted, they didn't have the encouragement, be it from their husbands, their families, the media, and society in general. Feminism helped break those molds.

Let Me correct You on something. Women never "got" the vote. They (Women) did not win the right to vote. It was given to them by Men of principle who were prepared to go against the myopic thinking of Their day and to strive to achieve some form of equanimity between the genders. Look up Their names. You won't find any monuments to them. In fact You will be hard pressed to find a Feminist who can name any of them. If You are truly angered by the idea of 'equality' then blame the politicians who made it possible.
Be this as it may, the simple outcome of the empowerment of Women is that it has made the world a better place for all of Us. The vote released Women from the yoke of tyranny the some called marriage, where a Woman was little more than a chattel, owned and controlled by a Man. The vote allows Women to express Their Constitutional Rights to have a say in the way things are done, and how people should be treated. It gave Them the freedom to change the way of the world, and how They are perceived by others.
'Feminism' is a by product of modern man's endeavors to maintain sway over 'His' Woman, and a return to the days when Men were the 'Lords and Masters of Their domain'.
Get used to Feminism. It will be here for as long as it takes to overcome prejudices such as Yours, and to educate the ignorant, scared and ill-informed males within Our society.

When there is not respect for family relationships and parental roles or any relationships coming from government, MH, and society (even churches) deliberately planting the stuff it breaks down the family. People get remarried and the same stuff is observed. They know it, prophet from it, and count the cash. The false claims of it *all* beginning in the home is hog wash and adds up to nothing but childish public manipulation. You can't tell a man he can't parent or tell make a wife/mother feel her husband has no place and then come out smelling of roses. I surely hope the public schools have learned their lesson as school is to learn an education not a place to make children insecure about their home or entertain rebellion.

But, when does a man take a stand to protect his role and family and work on equality so that is not stripped from his home completely? I believe that the hippie generation was completely provoked coupled with rebellion by excuse also, and they also were historically led to believe they were not responsible for their behavior....what a coincidence that this is occurring again minus Woodstock.

As for "feminists" it should go no further than human rights and not be channeled into excuses not to get along with people and thwart their role in the home. I'll have nothing to do with either due to the fact that I have the right to vote (thankU), can accept that I do not have live being badgered - I stand for myself, and have the right to work....again thankU. Beyond that it's all getting historically suspicious as having nothing to do with positive outcome and moreso two jars of peanut butter for two homes instead of one. Yet a happy home eats steak. Women from that era who do not even work out of the home are angry at men. They should have dealt with it long ago really as it's landed a heap of trouble in traditional families....the drama and insecurity is beyond belief. The behavior of their daughters and the sons that are led to believe that jealous controlling women are strong ...money is all it and my mother must be sick...God help us all. They beat men down, exploit family relationships, and find manipulative dishonest ways to isolate and it really appears they cannot handle men having a life outside themselves. Perhaps the day a husband/father confidently grasps his role without fear of money making theories it will be the day this stuff begins to fizzle out or is at least kept at bay.

Feminism did not contribute to the 'army of poor single moms'. Irresponsible and under educated people (men and women) contributed to that.

A single parent is not a new phenomenon. It's been around for as long as humans have been around. In the current westernised social environments, it is just an acceptable state and women need not fear persecution for adultery anymore.

Feminism made the divorce rate higher, caused most children to be institutionalized rather than raised my their parents, increased the rate of abortion, tries to make women feel ashamed to breast feed. Women had much more power before feminism came along. We got to stay at home, raise our children properly and do whatever we wanted while our husbands worked their butts off to provide for us.

it told me that there was an entire community who thought and felt like i did-- who did not want their lives to be limited by a few work options that were considered "suitable jobs for a woman."
