I've always wandered about what is the reason for people to know the meaning of life. I don't we, human beings, need to know. It's as if people are just so bored and in a piss mood that they want to get the answer to why that is so! If people found out the reason to life and matter, then it wouldn't be so exciting! there wouldn't be anything pushing us forward, because when or if the reason is ever so fond out(which i highly doubt), then people will start waking up in the morning saying to themselves, I'm here because...Blah-Blah-Blah! I think that people should just live life!

Life is what you make it.

Meaning of life is actually the same as worth. Meaning always refers to purpose. Things that have no purpose also have no worth and no meaning.

Our human nature demands that we live for a purpose worthy of our life. The consequences of not having purpose and meaning are severe:

"There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide. Deciding whether or not life is worth living is to answer the fundamental question in philosophy. All other questions follow from that." (Albert Camus - 1942. )

Real purpose can only come from God.

“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (20th century mathematician, philosopher and Nobel Laureate)

But if we reject God, then our only possible recourse is to keep busy and focus on small bits of happy feelings so we won't have time to think about a meaningless existence nor think about our own death.

I hate that question you will always get some answer that is trying way to hard to be insightful, when the simple answer is to try not to be too much of a douche bag, try not to do that many bad things, and try to have a little fun while your alive. That is not much of a meaning, but at least least it leaves a lot up to our own personal interruption. Life is about Passion, and ethics, .... and no one can tell you what each of these is to you and how you should handle the conflicts between them.

I think people want to know the meaning of life so they know they know they weren't here on this earth for nothing. I think it goes hand in hand with an afterlife, like in the book "The 10 people you meet in heaven." This old man dies, and for the last 40 years of his life he's been miserable and lonely. so in heaven he meets all these people that he's come in contact with in his lifetime, and he sees how, all this being unknown to him, he impacted the lives of all these other people. So, yeah.

HELL YESSSS! waaayyyy too many ppl are whining about not knowing the meaning of life. i'm fcking sick of it. i have never wondered about the meaning of life. i don't know why it doesn't affect me, but i'm not gonna start. i think that too many minds have polluted that otherwise philosophical questoin. it is not worth thinkin about anymore. i am probably coming off as an egotistical b*tch with anger problems but i'm not. i'm just sick of things and i think i've been placating myself for long enough.
