I think some dreams do have meanings and others do not. I have all kinds of odd ball dreams but i don't take them all seriously; however if the dream keeps coming up into my spirit and seems take a lot of my attention i begin to think that their is some type of meaning connected to it

Anna (first contributor) touched on some of the science here.
There are several main theories as to why we dream. The two most recent (and each with some experimental support) suggest that we either dream to help us remember OR we dream to help us forget! Who ever said that psychology was an exact science.

Francis Crick of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, and molecular biologist Graeme Mitchison of the University of Cambridge suggest that as we sleep the brain sorts through all the experiences of the day andall the info that we've taken in and then sorts through it to keep some and toss out others... with the emphasis on the tossing out.

This was in opposition to the work of J. Allan Hobson of Harvard Medical School thought that the purpose of dreaming was to re-live the experiences of the day in order to 'lay down tracks' of memory. Later researchers suggest that we dream in order to remember or learn specific skills.

Dreaming the same thing over and over is explained in several ways. Most researchers think that you keep having the same stimulus in your day previous to the dream and so you then have the same dream. What's interesting is that you remember this dream. Is it waking you up or is it one that you remember as you get up each morning. The latter dreams are also mixed with the beginning of the waking state and outside influences tend to enter into the dream. Is there a neighborhood dog that howls every morning at 6 a.m. perhaps?

So.... it's all a mess right now, though an interesting one. Maybe Freud or Jung had something but it doesn't really seem too likely. On the other hand maybe you can come up with your own theory and get $10 million in research money to investigate it!

All dreams have meaning to the dreamer. Often it's just processing of information. The meaning is often different for different people (we all have different experiences in life), but some are arch typical. dogs are generally friends &/or family. How would you feel if you actually were to see these wolves? What would you expect to see next? That might be a warning to you, what to expect.

this dream seems poignant to me. i would say it means something, although i'm not sure what exactly.
sometimes your thoughts and how you are feeling in a dream can help with the interpretation... how do you feel as you are watching them? other details too can help- like the weather, colours etc..
being an observer in a dream (rather than a participant) can often happen in dreams where you are being given insight into a situation beyond that which you would naturally know.

I had a dream of this small dark kitty, real friendly with me in a way like (where have you been all my life) the kitty was rubbing on me puring just loving on me, and I told this dream to my girlfriend and she said oh. Two and a half weeks later my girlfriend & I went to another state and these people we met let us sleep in their bed room while they slept in the living room and I thought wow, than the next morning someone opened the door and a kitty came in the room and it was a little black kitty, it was loving on me, puring rubing on me just like in my dream, I told my girlfriend, this is the kitty that was in my dream, she looked at it, and than me, and we sat there thinking about these people wow.

Dreams don't necessarily have meanings to them. As researchers Hobson and McCarly (is that how his name's spelled?) have discovered, dreams are created by the brain combining bits and pieces of sights we've seen, noises we've heard, etc., and it often results in something random. Seeing a pack of wolves running might not mean anything at all.

As I take it, the dream is a warning to you that some friends/relatives around you are going to turn wolfish against you. Hence ,you should keep you eyes and ears open and exercise caution .

I don't think so.
Dream interpretation has always been a very hollow field of science for me.I don't think anyone can tell you about your nature and attitude through your dreams. So chill gal!
No need of bothering about the folloish dreams you see......
Cheers!

It depends on wat the dream is about. most dreams show your things that might happen in the future(not nesserary bad things). and the others are mostly jus meaningless thoughts
