the symptoms are as follows: no remorse, charming, persuasive, manipulative, uses people to enhance his/her own standing in the eyes of society. people who are psychopathic or "sociopathic" exist at all levels of socioeconomics, are the closest thing to true personification of evil because they have no identifiable conscious. they rarely seek help in the form of counseling and can range from scam artists to con men to sunday school teachers and politicians. the key ingredient is the mask they wear that hides their true identify and only serves to fulfill their purposes. people are seen as tools to them. they do not know how to love or to extend themselves beyond their own minds. scott peterson, oj simpson, ted bundy--all are sociopaths to the extreme--capable of ending human life and smiling all the while. (many gigolo type men fit this description and prey on vulnerable, sweet women).

psychopaths are usually very cunning and calculating, so they are careful not to reveal their alter-ego.by the time the person spots all the symptoms and starts to panic, it's too late.they're probably already chasing their victim with a chainsaw.I think an example of a clear red flag is if you see a chainsaw tainted with dried blood in their garage and when you ask them about it, they give you a weird/suspicious reply that they use the chainsaw to cut wood pieces to make a birdhouse and the red stuff is just red paint.it wouldn't be wise to blatantly confront a presumed psychopath because they'll either deny it or seek to silence the person, who found out about their secret.it's quite a dilemma.

experts list warning signs but if the list was efficient and people actually accepted the red flags and acted accordingly, then there wouldn't be innocent victims.o.j. simpson and scott peterson were only revealed as psychopaths after they murdered victim(s), so why didn't people around them spot the symptoms and do something to stop them?!

unfortunately, some people tend to be in denial and give for example, their loved one, a possible psychopath, the benefit of the doubt and dismiss the warnings signs.so people could be living with a psychopath and know that the person is a psychopath but they choose to stay passive in hopes that the psychopath doesn't prey on them because they supposedly have a close relationship and trust each other enough that the psychopath won't hurt them.that's not always the case though.

if the profile of a psychopath is accurate, then a lot of beautiful men & women, who are very charming/devious are seen as psychopaths*gasps* they would be easier to spot if psychopaths were hideous beasts.

A psychopath, otherwise known as a sociopath, is:
superficial, glib, self-centered, lacks remorse or guilt, is deceitful, manipulative, shows shallow emotions, and lacks empathy. He/she may come across as charming and likeable at first, but the more experience you have with him, you realize he is using you and manipulating you with his charm and lies. Psychopaths are often con artists and scammers. If you try to help them they will take advantage of you, so it is better to run, don't walk, to the nearest exit and end the relationship. In the most extreme of cases, psychopaths can be very dangerous, and some become serial killers and serial rapists. If you meet someone who seems charming and likeable, then you find out that he is constantly lying, manipulating, conning and using you, you have probably met a psychopath. Avoid him like the plague!

a simple answer?

Someone who knows the difference between right and wrong, they just don't care. It's all about their immediate needs/wants with no considerations about consequences for actions or how their actions impact others. Nothing they do is wrong so long as it meets their needs/wants

The best thing about psychopaths is that they tend to be obsessed and predictable. Look for people who seem to be OCD; too clean or neat, routine behaviour, impecable grooming/dressing habits.
Also, many psychopaths will admit to being psychotic if you just ask them.

usually when they seem to have no ethical morals whatsoever. For example: abusive boyfriends, abusive husbands, serial killers, etc. Also, something I've noticed is their eyes. Its pretty creepy, because their eyes seem to be hollow, and show no emotion
