Reading is an awesome one... but don't read in bed because that can make sleeping harder.
There's also yoga. That's one of the best ways, I always feel like I can flake it after a yoga work out.

It's hard to control thoughts. You can eliminate half of them by using only positive non-judgmental words. That forces love rather than fear based thinking and so many other benefits you wouldn't believe. It's perhaps the bases of the new paradigm shift or mind shift. It connects you to probably the right brain, intuition and the part of the mind with twenty times the speed and capacity, apparently the right brain. Paradoxically you feel more relaxed. Meditation has more than one definition, basically to think or to empty the mind. I takes practice. If nothing else ideas come in and get handled real fast or deferred to a later time. Emotional Intelligence puts the two hemispheres in harmony and that spells peace. Relativity has more uses than one, relating ideas, relating the two hemispheres of the brain, relating to people and relating to yourself. That's the old, know thyself thing. Great for relate-sionships.

I am a full time student and I work full time so you can imagine how busy I am. My friends say I am the most stressed out person they know and honestly I smoke weed to keep my head in check. It really is a great way to relax and wind down from a day and just let your cares out. After months of nagging my roommate to stop taking her sleeping pill and to switch to a natural way to cure her insomnia she finally did and was really surprised that she found it had the same affect as her meds and she had the greatest dreams.Sorry if i offended you by suggesting this but i really think weed a great natural way to help your relieve stress.
