I took my cat (Homey) to the vet today as she hasn't been herself. She's 15yrs old, and I'm not trying to prolong her life as much as I am trying to make her final days comfortable. I make roughly 35,000 a year, and her bill exceeds 2k. I love her and am going to pay, but it will means Raman noodle soup and a return to sobriety for at least 3 months. Can you put a number on such things? Am I improperly equating her comfort for mine?

The phase has over came me like a poison that stains my skin but, not only my skin my memories as well. The farther I go the farther the light fades. The light may be gone right now but, there will be one way out. The way of truth. The truth of me over coming the poison that got me here. The start of the whole thing.

I had a dream about my boyfriend and fish last night. It was a weird dream and I don't remember much, but I remember feeling like I needed to get away from him because he'd taken me captive in some weird jungle. I then saw these 2 great big fish.

What's it mean?

A friend of mine has a 18 y.o. boy who just started college... It happens to be one of those "gynoversities" where they have tons of resources to help women to deal with rape issues (which is an excellent idea btw) but no resources for guys how not to become a victim of a false accusation. So I told him to buy a camcorder and record all of his sexual encounters because who knows when he's gonna need proof in court. I taught him how to hide it in the bedroom, make it silent, etc. His dad, (my friend) thought I am teaching him to make porn, but I convinced him its a necessity dictated by modern life... I personally have everything recorded (brings back fond memories)... What do you think?

I met a guy a few months ago at a conference. He lives in a different state and is the VP of a company with 55 facilities nationwide, so he's always travelling. We exchanged numbers & hung out a few times when he was in my town on business. I made it very clear to him that I'm not in a place for relationship or casual sex, so that would leave us with the only option of friendship. I figured we both travel frequently, so when we do cross paths, we can always hang out and whatnot. Also, I enjoy conversing with him since we have things in common, so I didn't mind casual emails/texts/calls. As the time went by he became more and more persistent, calling, texting, emailing, instant messaging and the more persistent he became the more I started ignoring him. I would respond probably to 1/3. He expressed interest early on and casually mentioned that he gets what he wants which is how he became the VP of his company. Not scary at 1st but considering his "persistency" I'm starting

Seriously. Almost all the women I know spend like 45 minutes to an hour taking a shower, and by the time I finally go in, the hot water is all gone!

If the answer is that it depends, what does it depend on? And how does suffering affect the ability to feel empathy for those who caused the suffering if they have misfortunes?

This is going to sound a little embarrassing.
But I am very young and I worry alot about the mysterious and unknown things. Sometimes it makes me scared to go to sleep.
Recently a very nice lady that I knew died and for some reason I can't stop thinking about her. It's hard for me to sleep now.
I want to try to move on but I just can't.

have you ever had those dreams where someone is talking to you, and they tell you something really interesting and you wake up still thinking about it, whether it is fact or fiction your just like, woah thats amazing. because i could never in a million years think of anything in that way. you know? its like i learn in my dreams. its mostly weird because the way these people are phrasing it doesnt come close to the way i talk or use grammar. not like its country grammar or whatever but its different. im just in awe.

I have a seperate personality named Larry, he is evil and manipulative. and he is getting harder to deal with
and i'm 16

it started when i was little, whenever i got really mad or something, i would just push those feelings down and try to forget about them. because if i did anything about it i would get in trouble
so eventually i started pretending to be someone else every once in a while so that i could say what was on my mind, and even though i still got in trouble, it was easier for me to say what i wanted to say when i could tell myself it was someone else.
over the years Larry started coming out when i didnt want him to, and when he was out i couldnt control what i'd do or say
instead of saying what was on my mind, i would say things i would never in a million years think. it just kept getting worse and worse.
now i can keep him inside most of the time, but i still cant control him at all when he is out

I started at university studying business economics, and the first semester involves principles of microeconomics and maths for business and economics. The thing is, due to me not having the greatest mathmatical background beforehand, i seem to be falling behind already and just not understanding most of the concepts at all.

The lecturer moves at like 200 miles an hour which doesn't help at all, and seems to explain things as if we are supposed to already know it. I am starting to get stressed out, as it just seems to be equation after equation.

Does anyone who is is studying or has studied economics before feel the same way as i do, or did you grasp it straight away? Was you puzzled at first?

I look around the lecture hall (which has about 150 people) and is as though every other person understands it all and i'm the only one that doesn't. Do you think most people are having trouble, or am i the only one?

I feel this way quite a bit lately, I don't see my life improving in any meaningful way regardless of the actions I take. I can't talk about my feelings with anyone as I am afraid I will then just be labeled as another depressed cry baby.
