There is nothing to be embarrassed about! As you get older you'll also gain 'wisdom' about the 'mysterious' and 'unknown' ... but you are young and sometimes you 'get frightened' by what you don't understand.
The 'nice lady you knew' who died is FINE ... if you were a relative of hers or her closest and dearest friend, she might have 'hung around' to 'haunt you' for awhile, but it doesn't last very long, and usually all you need to do is say "I know you are here," and say their name, and then they 'go away' and leave you alone.
Why don't you try 'praying' before you go to sleep ... just close your eyes and say in a whisper that you would like to sleep well and soundly and that you hope this lady or any other thing that bothers you will be 'okay' ... then turn out the light and lie down and go to sleep. Even if you don't believe in God, this sort of praying will actually help you sleep better ... and if anything 'wierd' happens around you that should NOT have been able to even happen, say "I know you are there" to your lady friend, and she'll stop haunting you. Most 'haunts' just want to make 'one last check' to be sure their loved ones are still alright, and say they're on their way to Heaven ... which is a BETTER place that we will ALL go to in the end.

This is not an embarrassing question. I don't know how old you are, but I am 45 and my parents are going to die very soon. (from health problems and dementia) and I am very scared. Perhaps this nice lady is trying to communicate something important to you, and that's why you're worrying. There are always going to be mysterious and unknown things to worry about. Everyone wonders about these things at one point or another. You're young. Please enjoy your youth and if you believe in a God, ask him why you are so worried about this woman. There is something else going on here that is making it difficult for you to stop thinking about her. Mortality is a hard thing to come to deal with. I am going through it now! Good luck, sweetie.

You are not alone. Many people have a fear of the unknown. It is okay, long as it does not stop you from functioning normally in your daily life. As far as the lady friend that died, you may be thinking of her for so many reasons as death makes things permanent. Maybe You wish you had spent more time with her or maybe you know that you cannot see her or talk to her now, so it is final. Tty to think of the good things that you may have shared with her or liked about her and keep good thoughts going. It may releave some of the stress associated with her passing away. Hope this helps.

If the lady who died was a friend it is understandable that you will think about her. You must miss her friendship. The old cliche of time being a great healer is so very true. Do you know what it is that makes you afraid to sleep, is there something triggering this fear. You should maybe make an appointment to see your Dr. He may be able to give you something to help you sleep on a temporary basis till you come to terms with your loss. Good luck & I'm sorry to hear of your loss.

I had the same problem when my grand father died, after that I got thinking for the first time about having everybody die and leave me alone then I would die. It is common to have these feelings lying in the dark where you think you see things move around but you don't. You should talk with your parents about the trouble your having, as they could help you get passed this life changing event. They will understand and will help you.

Yes, life is a mystery and can be very scary. The fact that you keep thinking about that lady just means that you are sad, which is perfectly alright. You don't have to move on, you just need to accept reality, the scary reality that we live in because we know it can't ever get much better.

Its completely normal to fixate on the unknown during your younger years. It's scary. But eventually, you'll come to terms with these ugly truths and go on with your life. If you find that later on in life, you can not stop fixating on these negative things, you may want to consider seeing a professional. Constant fixation on things like that is not healthy and could be a sign of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Give yourself some time! You'll stop!

This might sound patronising but let this feeling stay for a whle and 'go' with it. Then try to bu8ild up a pic of the lady and the positive things she brought into YOUR life and then into the lives of others. And...yes....it's normal; to feel like you are feeling at the moment. Nothing to do with whether you're 19 or 90!

Try relaxing yourself and remember this person would not be happy to see you like this. This person wants you to know that life is difficult sometimes, but we have to move on in life. Remember: You can try feeling how this person went through, but the only reason she has left you, is because she believes in you and can handle many things and problems on your own.
