I'm left handed and I have horrible handwriting. It's almost like I can write in my own secret code language because no one else can read what I write. I just think of ideas too fast to get them down on paper neatly. Also, I'm good at drawing and painting, so I don't understand why my handwriting is so bad. Even when I try to write neatly my hand starts to get shaky and I start writing sloppy after 2-3 lines or so.

Why mention your looks when asking about handwriting? I was born left handed and forced to use my right had from starting Infants School in 1950. That's a long time ago and despite passing many exams, achieving a Degree and Diploma, becoming a Bank manager and College Lecturer, my hand writing is still abysmal. If I were you i would concentrate more on your education than your 'good looks'.

Not really. There was a girl in my fifth grade class and she had the most beautiful handwriting I ever saw. She was left-handed.

well im left handed and have crappy handwrting. but it really depends on the person you might find good handwriting in a lefty or right handed person. but as a left hander i will tell you that you smear your words as your writing.

Because when you're writing English, you write from left to right...which is convenient for right handed people (their writing hand doesn't get in the way) but left-handed people need to position their hand awkwardly.

Being a left hander I've always asked other lefties this and they say their handwriting isn't great, mine included

No, they don't. You can improve your handwriting. You learn it just like everything else.

It's just you, try writting slower... for practice, or get a better pen or pencil.
