I feel so alone. I have few friends and they are all distant and not where i live at campus. I am a junior premed/honor student .. i am not a nerd or look like one in fact i am quite athletic and i have been told that i am very cute. I am also a math/physics tutor and i supervise lvl 2 and 1 tutors.

Right now i just feel so depressed i dont want to study, everytime i see people talking to each and laughing i wish that i have the same but no i am always walking by myself the only conversations that i have only last for like 10 minutes and its between my classmates
I am a sensitive guy who just finds it hard to know people, I think alot about going with a friend for a coffee that i eventually make up an excuse to not go (i just dont get in the mood to go anymore) . I used to live with my brother and sister but right now since they graduated i am alone and depressed :(. Can you please tell me what i can do..i mean jeez i have 6 friends from my college network on facebook.

First, dont judge yourself by how many freinds you have on facebook.
Can you get invovle in any clubs where there is interaction, talking etc..
you say your atheltic...try that.

I knwo the feeling,,,,but you have to put yourself out of your comfort zone to make some friends....can be difficult but doable.....and you wil be happy with the results.

You are pre med.you should know better. Why don't u get some medication eg anti depressants. Doctor heal thyself.Brains don't necessarily mean every other part of your life is up to scratch. As a potential doctor you will need to know how to talk to people. Go to classes where you may come out of yourself, what about amateur theatre or sports in a group. I have fought social phobia all my life and it is hard hard hard.

Make yourself go for that coffee. Start from there and build on it. Sounds like you may be kind of an introvert, that's not a bad thing, just makes it hard to get to know people.

But you will, and they'll like you. Just hang in and don't allow yourself to talk you out of healthy things. Talk yourself into healthy things. Just change your internal dialog, as, "This'll be fun," "Time to have some fun," "I'm really looking forward to . . ."

You sound depressed and probably need medication for it. That would be a good start. Your depression is making your problems worse. Don't do this to yourself. Go see someone.

just make what u're makin' now, in the internet the most peolpe feel like u and may be they can help u more than a person that does'nt feel like that
