For example, I am a martial artist. I have used the things I have learned to defend myself several times and I know it works. But why do I still sometimes have these feelings of doubt that my techniques don't really work and the successes were a fluke? They come and go, sometimes they are strong, sometimes they are weak.

Also. I know I am a very handsome man. I have very attractive girls checking me out, hitting on me, I get dates with strippers and other attractive girls with just my looks and personality, girls chase ME, yet sometimes I still have these thoughts "why is she with me she could have anyone" "what if I mess things up with her" going through my mind. Again, sometimes these thoughts are stronger than others and they come and go. On a logical level, I know they are unreasonable, but why do I still have them? How do I get rid of them?

Can these doubts affect my "game"? How so?

C. Electric Cars D. Biodiesel Fuels

As a follow up do you belive Auto Industry lobbyists are hindering the efforts for a public policy to be developed advocating and forcing Automakers to accept biodiesel or electic cars as the future.

Obviously big oil lobbyists are doing the so right now until the supply runs out.

when I have to go through that certian part of town (which isn't very often thank God), I always see they leave junk in thier front yards. Like busted up old toys, candy wrappers, stolen bicycles, empty beer bottle, etc... It looks horrible. If they had more respect for themselves, they'd get more respect from us!

I have a very strange problem...I'm 30 and my brother is 37--I love him and we get along, but I feel that he calls me on the phone way too much. We live about 5 hours away, and he recently got his first cellphone, and he calls me about every 4 days--plus he calls every weekend without fail. I love my brother--but I am getting very annoyed by him! He calls and drones on & on about his church, how he wants a wife, his job--whatever, and he'll talk for hours if I dont stop him..I work full time- and I'm busting my butt trying to start a business, and I dont want to spend my free time talking to him every 3 days or every weekend!.. I TOLD him this, but he got upset saying "we're still family!--and he still keeps calling.

I've started not even answering his calls anymore--but now our Mom is upset with me --and demands that I talk to him when he calls and tells me "call your brother"!!

HOW OFTEN DO YOU SPEAK TO YOUR SIBLINGS OF THE OPPOSITE SEX? AM I WRONG?

Ok so this girl I really like went to a movie tonight with me and a friend. A few days ago out of no where we kinda started hugging/cuddling, and there was a bit of making out. I asked her if it ment anything the next day and she said that for the moment no and she wasn't sure if it would and that she didnt want to lead me on. So today when we went I felt like she was totally leading me on... we held hands for about half the movie she had her head on my shoulder a couple times. However there were a few times where she kinda took her hand away when I reached out for it, when she got near my hand. On the way home she asked how long I liked her, I told her, then I thought Id clarify what happened and asked if anythings changed since we last talked about how for the moment she didnt see me like that. She said not really?! But it was a more quiet and mellow and took her a while to answer. So Im totally confused. Her actions say one thing but her words say another...

Donald Trump said the problem with Condolezza Rice is she does not close the deal. If it were me I would close the deal. I thought she was negotiating a peace in many regions and risking her life along with her safety at times. Donald Trump also said that all she does it sit for photos because she is pretty. Hmm do I hear a hint of jealously there?

I have read posts that Native Americans get offended that they receive remarks that they look like a Mexican. First of all not all mexicans are brown. Mexicans are a variety of complexions.

Anyway, I am half mexican indian, since I have Spanish Creole families that live and intermarried with mexican indians in a remote area where there is a large mexican indian tribe.

Native Americans don't consider mexican indians as Native Americans? But then why does Mel Gibson used several Native Americans to play the part of Mexican/Guatemala Mayan Indians in his movie, "Acapolico."????

There would be less confusion to refer to native americans as "American Indians." and refer to mexican indians as "Mexican Indians". Just title give the title to the indians of the country that they live in. "Guatemalan indians or Peruvian indians" and so on.

Some feminists have stated that they like being treated “like a woman” or a “lady.” Others have stated that they don’t EXPECT any special treatment, but do enjoy it.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmnAfo.8l3L8ZhP2NIWDaPAjzKIX?qid=20070316171301AAgnlGd

I assume this means that they want to be treated somehow different than a man would/should be treated. At the same time, most feminists will say that men and women should receive “equal treatment.”

Explain how one can want “equal treatment” and at the same time like (not necessary expect) to be “treated like a woman” or “lady”, evidently differently than a man.

(Obviously, this does not mean just with "courtesy and respect", since all humans are deserving of that.)

Is “equal” a misnomer for what they want?

Or, are there exceptions to this desire for equal treatment?

If so, who gets to chose what those exceptions are?

Do you like your life to know her terms ?

2007-03-17 08:03:00 · 4 answers · asked by sako 2 in Psychology

I have red hair, and usually I'm in a pretty cool mood. But sometimes I, like everyone else, get angry, and when I do people say "Oh, she's showing off her redhead side," or "Finally acting like the redhead you are, Kaylie?" And that only makes me angrier. How do I get them to STOP being so stereotypical?

Suppose you, as a male, had a woman as your sex-buddy & you were having a lot of fun with her when you were single. But then suddenly one day you met another woman with whom you wanted to pursue a relationship (i.e. you're getting a girlfriend) - in this case, you have to end your affair with your sex-buddy. But how will you go about telling that to your sex-buddy? Will you just say "I found a new girlfriend, so I want to stop this thing with you"? Is that enough?

In my opinion, humans are all emotional beings.- even though in American culture, we have the liberty of having sexual fun with anyone whom we feel appropriate at any point of time in our life, but still you have to realize that sex always carries it’s baggage of emotions. So, even if we think that we can have as much sex as we want and we can end it at anytime, we have to realize that the persons involved in it are always gonna get emotional about it.

So, in this case, if you tell her that you just wanna end this thing – that is not gonna work. She will say ok, but deep inside she will be hiding a feeling of sorrow that she has lost someone. So, I expect any man in this situation to act more responsible & comfort her so that she can get through this affair-ending easily. So, this is what I would expect you to say:

“Honey – I just wanna let you know that I found a new woman & I wanna have her as my girlfriend & I know that I have had a lot of fun with you, but I guess we will have to end it now.” Although she will say “yes, it’s ok” – you have to realize that she is going to be terribly uncomfortable and sad about it. If she starts showing signs that she is in fact feeling that way (or even if she isn’t, I still recommend you to say this), you must sit down with her, put your hands on her shoulder and comfort her and tell her:

“Hey – I understand how you are feeling and I feel so much for you – but remember when we started our affair, we knew that we have to end it at any time according to any situation that arises. But I know how much you have been there for me, how much you have supported me, given me pleasure anytime I wanted – and I want to tell you that though I am gonna end it now, I am not completely forgetting or leaving you. You are going to be single, so I will support you through this time & I will be there for you when you need me at any time, although I will not involve with you romantically. But I will be there as your close friend, a companion whom you can come to anytime you want & I will even help you find a special new boyfriend with whom you can have even more fun than you had with me! So chin up and realize that this is the reality which you promised to endure, but keep faith in yourself, cause you will always have someone you can count on – that person is me.”

NOTE: Again, this is entirely my point of view – so it will be open for criticism of any sort. But I expect any person who wants to have such liberal sexual fun, to act the same way – remember people, you can have fun – but with fun, always comes responsibility. And I also expect women who have male sex-buddies to do the same thing.
