Does Childhood sexual abuse cause women to go into the porn industry?

I have heard that around 80% of women in porn have been sexual abused as children. Is these true?

Girls who have been objectified at a very early age by that type of abuse, tend to internalize that as their identity, hence they feel *erroneously* that that is where they best fit in a job|

I know the pay is very high, but they have to realize that they have to live with themselves too|

I don't know where you can find the stats, however, I am sure if you do some research you will find the stats you are looking for. Not sure if it is that high, however, 80% is probably very close, not only porn but prostitution, drug addiction are also common among females who have been sexually abused. I believe the stats are as high as 1 in every 4 women will be molested before they turn 18. Very sad, very true. God bless****

No it is a lie porn hating harpies set loose on the world to take a shot at the porn industry. The mothers of those girls probably kicked hubby to the curb and growing up without a father left a void in her that she tries to fill with attention from other men. Of course it is impossibel to tell for which percentuage it is true without interviewing all porn actresses, something those harpies which get their panties in a twist about men experiencing pleasure didnt do.

Lots of reasons certain parts of the pron industry pay very well so there is the money. She may just enjoy sex. She may need to make a little extra cash. She could be putting herself through college. She may like the attention. She may not have the skills to do anything that pays as well. Then there is the darker side that does happen from time to time. She may be forced into it against her will. She may have deep rooted sexual issues from a past trauma. She might need meth money. She is possibly being blackmailed. She could have poor self esteem. She may not have the skills to do anything that pays as well.

One of the major reasons for people to go into the porn industry is exhibitionism. Another is a desire to draw attention to themselves and are incapable of getting it through normal methods. A third reason is the money.
Being victims of sexual abuse could be a contributing factor but i have seen way too many porn industry employees that have not been victims of sex abuse to rate it as the sole reason for them choosing that lifestyle

probably it directs some women to the porn industry, i dont know if it is a major deciding factor, maybe easy money attracts many initially, or need for money for drugs. I really dont know. Prehaps just many of these women are sexually liberal and lack normal inhibitions.

uh, no.
these poor women are desperate, and exploited. wouldnt you rather spread your legs for a few hours a week, than working in a boring, repetitve office environment every day.
my morals wont let me, but if i had to run seriously short of cash, i'd go strip or sumthing. just not sex.
its your own decision how far you'd let it go. if your conscience lets you.
